I've downgraded, they said no charges on downgrade during YEP (with new contract 24 month). Still waiting for next bill to verify it.
They say 89 30mbps got 1 month free unifi tv, after that only can use the free channel.

### Anyhow just want to confirm with you, do you downgrade your contract for free while your previous 24 month contract haven finished?

I went to TM point just now.

I saw kakak A in front counter, told her i am existing user unifi with contract still. Ask her whether i can downgrade Previous RM129(100M) to RM89(30M) & the apply for Pay nothing free till December. She answer me yes, press number for me and told me go and apply since is free to downgrade contract and no need pay penalty.

Waiting my turn n Kakak B serve me.
Told me my contract ends next year March 2020.
Have to pay RM200 to cancel current contract.

I am TL(angry) since feel being cheated & walk away.
But after i have calm down & think carefully it seems if i pay Rm 200 to cancel. And get a new contract i would have free myself for 2 month bill. & starting next year just pay RM 89.

So will visit TM point again.....

You should have told the person who told you about the penalty that the other front counter person said there is no penalty. Then ask them to talk to each other and figure out who is right or wrong. Then you should ask to speak to the supervisor/manager. should be no penalty since you are renewing contract.  I don't know why they make things so difficult for users.

You can login to your dashboard and see the available plans under Change My Plan page. Maybe now it may take longer to process as more users are applying for YEP maybe. I used this online way to apply and got processed in 1 week. Switched from RM129 100M with less than 1 year contract left, to RM89 30 unlimited. My current bill after the switch shows no penalty. It has a negative amount due to pro-rated refund from previous bill.  A couple of other users here have done the same. I was told there is no penalty. If a penalty appears in Dec or next Jan bill, can deal with it then as my switch was based on them telling me there is no penalty.

I suggest you call 100 Sales Dept and ask them about this just to see what they say. If you go TMPoint again, tell them there should be no penalty as you are renewing contract. Or speak to the manager.

Please update here on your case.

My old plan was already past the contract date. At first they mentiones that there might be charges for the downgrade. I just replied that, if got charges, better i terminate and apply for new one. So they agreed to 'modify'.

Yeah, the free bill could cover your plan termination. But total up you only saved around rm178 (until mar2020) for extending another 24month contract.
Before that.. you might want to review first the new contract. I believe the terms and conditions is not the same as the old one.

I did not know it is stated as no penalty when using the app. I used desktop dashboard and don't remember seeing it said there. Maybe I missed it.

But if it is really stated there as no penalty, then I think no need to bother about penalty anymore as it is clear already. Then the CS and TMPoint staff simply saying things only. Just show them the app where it is stated and it is resolved. Or just do online.
If you are using the app to do online, please have a look if it states anywhere there as no penalty as posted by  boxer07. It would be good to get verification on this to help others.

Hi guys,
I try one of the forum-er advice and try to change my plan via web/ mobile apps.
Check both UI (mobile/desktop) and it is similar.

NOTE:.
My request submission is from web application via desktop.
It seems didn't state and penalty charge. But i never bother go and read the Term & Conditions.
If(In case) there is penalty charge it will be RM 200 for me base on my contract till 2020 March. (Other user might varies)
Anyway other forum-er seems to have success in the change plan request from 300MBps to 30 MBps ( without any charges with 1 year contract intact).
Please note if you click "Pay for nothing Promo" link straight away as advertise you will only eligible to get free internet until Dec 2019 with Current Plant.
*(What i need is cheaper plan that is why i apply STEP1~STEP3 as advice by forum-er)
So hopefully, everything works as intended with no charge. dry.gif

FYI This is my before state. Will compare with after state if my submission approved.
