Hi, finally I am going to install unifi for my house. I just realized that 30mbps package is limited to 60gb quota. Is it already effective this year? Else, I have to consider the 100mbps already.....

Am I still entitle to the turbo upgrade?

why not for the turbo. I waited more than a year for this Unifi...
Btw, I didnt research much on the networking technology. I hear that unifi could connect back to the copper infrastructure. Is that so? correct me if I am wrong.
I know our fiber infra tech is different from other country where they can have parallel speed for both upload and download speed if I didnt remember wrongly.

Finally...finally I got 100mbps unifi today after waiting for port for 1.5 years
I need some feedback from sifus here.

Question 1: I notice that when I do speed test using my smartphone, I am able to get full download and upload speed. Why I cant get full upload speed (about 10mbps instead of 50 mbps) on my PC no matter I use LAN cable or wireless card 9560?

Question 2: I was connected to internet using LAN cable to BTU (Huawei HG8240H) ethernet port, but why I can't connect anymore (No IP address?). But it works fine when i connect to the ethernet port of the router (Dlink Dir842). I assume I need to do some setting on the BTU/Modem.

Question 3: How to access to the BTU and router? 192.168.1.1 cant work.

1.) Ok. I will get CAT6 or 7 cable. But my PC wireless card 9560 also have the same observation. Not sure is PC issue or not. Not important but just curious.
2.) Ya. I am a little bit new to fiber. I assume router just used to broadcast internet from BTU with its wireless through LAN cable at port 1. But shouldnt BTU be the unit that process the signal from fiber and have internet?
3.) Ya, I accessed it already. I know i have limited knowledge and want to learn. Just wonder why i can't access BTU, even the label at the bottom of the BTU is mentioning 192.168.1.1. No default gateway for BTU ethernet port, but I have for the router, after I check from ipconfig

Previously I am using Streamyx 1Mbps under my name and got Unifi on last week under my brother name
I think I need to terminate the Streamyx, no such as converting automatically right?

So, I need to go to TMpoint and terminate it on, working days?? Any more convenient ways?

As far as I know, we need to give them 30 days notice for termination, and settle any outstanding bill within 14 days from the notice. It only can be terminated after 30 days.
I got unifi around 6th April. Can I say that I still need to pay streamyx for another 1 month?
I need to return the telephone back to them also, else will get penalty. I dont remember the telephone is belongs to landline or streamyx.
Last time Streamyx comes with telephone? Installed streamyx 1Mbps around year 2002, renew package to Unipack and got new modem Innacomm around year 2013.

Yes you are right. Live chat customer service told that it will auto terminated if the unifi is under same owner name. if different name, need to terminate.
Looks like my brother got the wrong info from TMpoint staff.


Anyone able to terminate Streamyx immediately?
