i didnt get the W910i eventually

reason: too much of negative feedbacks from the users (esato, lowyat, hardwarezone, etc), such as:-

- phone is lagging
- phone is restarting
- phone is hanging (is like, one day hang one time)

ghosh, i dun wan to risk my money for such a thing, altho i like its large vivid screen. i got myself a SE P1i and am very happy with it

btw to those hu cant get their phone connected to the media manager software,i used to recommend u all to use the m2 reader.but 2day i found out u can connect yr phone using the usb cable on MASS STORAGE mode.the instruction book state tht u nid to use media transfer mode,but actually its mass storage.

anyway i still recommend using the m2 reader bcoz its faster and hassle free.(except for taking and reinserting the card bck into the phone)

well before i bought mine, also considered the P1 but the lack of HSDPA pulled me back cause i heavily used my phone as my modem.
now i'm happily using my W910 for internet with connection speed at least 600-700 kbps compared to 100-200 kbps using my ex-K618.

ahhh no regrets lah

oh, count me out for HSDPA, i am not on data plan, i don't wan to get heart attack when i receive my maxis bill at the end of the month. lol. (but no doubt i love the speed of HSDPA, it is the fastest)

ya lorh. heard the same things too. AND most people said the keypad is very2 fragile. even the guys selling the handphones said so...

yep.bcoz the W910i keypad is soft plastic,which make it more flexible.wheres the W580i is hard plastic,whn pressure is applied,it cant stand thn it will crack.

but under light reflections u can notice some scratch marks on the W910i keypad,bcoz theres some part of the slider which touches the keypad whn sliding.other thn tht,once u get used to it,the keypad is nt bad afterall.

i like the phone a lot. but i have a few problems with it. who the hell designed the features?

- you cant switch off the walkman easily. you have to unlock your phone then turn it off unlike your w810i which is just by pressing one button

- camera sucks, no autofocus, you CANT ZOOM in 1 or 2 megapixel mode. WTF. RETARDS.

-you can only download sony ericsson themes via the phones internet access. this is not a problem with the phone. but more of SE in general.

1.i duno hw u use the walkman,but i can switch off/on the walkman by pressing the walkman key once.if u dun like the auto keylock feature,u can disable it.

2.wat u expect?dis is a WALKMAN phone.i noe the olders 1 have auto focus etc,but those are the days.walkman phones now hardly hav any auto focus on their cams (except for some high end models).btw,the cam on W910i is considered good enough without auto focus.

3.erm.u can download themes to your comp and thn upload it to you phone bro.

almost same as yours.its the latest firmware.

hmmm... when i have the music player on and i press the walkman button it goes back to the last menu i accessed. it doesnt turn off or on the player immediately.

i used to have a motorola. and i modded the hell out of the software. do you know any SE modding sites?
