Photographing the Tadami line has always been in my bucket list so far. I love to take photographs of trains, especially rural trains like the Akita Nairiku Line and at Naruko Gorge. I had fun chasing after these trains.

Having experienced the amazing Nothern Tohoku (Aomori, Akita, a bit of Iwate and Miyagi) region Autumn last year, next time will go for the Southern Tohoku (Yamagata, Fukushima...) region during winter...

I did almost the exact route during Autumn 2015
Landed in Osaka, then proceed to Takayama - Shirakawago - Kanazawa - Toyama - Alpine Route - Matsumoto - Kawaguchiko - Tokyo

There is now Hokuriku shinkansen from Tokyo to Kanazawa, you might want to consider one of the JR Arch Passes around.
