made it themselves for own consumption
so basically u need a big bag of money to buy everything back to malaysia (at least all the good stuff)

for instant noodle(ramen), don't buy the overpriced, overrated ichiran one
buy the ones i recommended above
for snacks/chocolate..etc...almost all are unique to japan
royce chocolate are only available exclusively at airport(departure area)

and if you're visiting kansai region like kyoto,osaka,kobe and nara(at once)
each area has their own confectionary like bisuits,cakes,chocolates
so if u tasted something u like, u best buy it on the spot...u can't find it back in other areas
especially kobe
i wanted to bring back a pack of that tsuta
but man that thing eats up so many space, i just ate both in my airbnb only

Will they check jacket? I will be wearing my jacket and plan to sneak in bun or onigiri if possible, of course I will have breakfast before I leave but just in case.

fresh ichiran isn't even good at all

and u need to monitor the expiry dates, japanese instant noodle(at least ramen) do not last a year like ours
they expire in like 3-4 months
they check your bag but not your pocket

Compared to Disneyland/DisneySea, USJ is way stricter on bring in own food and drink policy. Disneyland/DisneySea staff do check, but will let you through.

I've eaten those ichiran instant noodles before. Don't expect it to taste anywhere near a freshly prepares tonkatsu ramen lol

As for bringing food in backpack to USJ, I read that if you put the food at the bottom of your bag and u put other stuff on top of it like sweater and personal items, you might get away with it lol. They don't really check that thoroughly when there is a long queue behind you.

I been to USS and Legoland Johor before. For US & Disneyland, you really pay for the professionally done up experience. Expensive yes but worth it.

there are so many things to eat in USJ
but just eat the must eat thing, should be able to fill u up till night already
visit harry potter and have butter beer(hot & cold) thn find another stall and eat the butter beer ice-cream
go to jurassic park and eat the turkey legs
these 2 alone can last until night if u timed it right
and do not go for the turkey leg at 12noon-1PM, it will have a very long queue...go after that
basically u go play when people eat, thn go eat when people go play

my meal mostly average 1000 yen except for that wagyu beef BBQ buffet which is 4k yen/pax
surprisingly the meal in kansai region quite ok the pricing, famous ramen shop also got 700-900yen
tokyo famous one usually over 1k yen

the ramen street at osaka station...all famous ramen shop...their most expensive one is like 1.2k yen
but it's a huge bowl of ramen + a bowl of fried rice + a side of gyoza = u will puke after eating that much

transportation, i initially loaded 5k yen onto every IC card...end up i needed to add 1k yen for the last day back to airport

Finally had the time to post here... Arrived in Japan on time and JR West was empty, quickly exchanged JR Pass and bought Kansai One Pass.

i would recommend taking the normal train
difference only like 10 mins in terms of travel time but saved u like 500 yen
2k yen is very cheap
the most famous cheapest kobe beef stall that is at kuromon market
100gm is 5000 yen
but that is A5 kobe beef

the one i ate of course not kobe beef(can't afford it)
i ate kuroge wagyu beef at chifaja
just go for the thin slices...it's very enjoyable compared to normal beef

the one i ate needed to grill myself
but i kinda know what people meant by melts in your mouth
because it's thin slices and mostly fat

if the slice is too think, it ain't gonna melt

i remember correctly it was 500 yen difference
so i opened google maps and search namba station to KIX
nankai limited express - 42 minutes - 1450 yen
normal train - 48 minutes - 930 yen

i just came back from kansai region, my stock still full
