Below is my personal thoughts

Philips SHL9600 is a really a different reference feel which a HIFI Sound with a DJ Power feature. Even though this headphone's driver is around 28-30mm diameter range but is sound rich and clarity sound especially when i tested a vocal sound like emi fujita & diana krall is seem impressive sound....Regarding the BASS part....tested with my favourite trance music by Eddie Halliwell..unique in bass is that more higher volume more solid the bass will be.... thumbup.gif

What it means DJ Power feature??? This headphone can be use in Dj ing purpose which it can be single side monitoring and mixing for performing or production.

Beside this headphone is easy to drive headphone which is only 32 Ohm only with a 106db sensitivity sound and even without an amp the sound is neutral. Vocal and background instrument are really wide and clear. I also tested using my preamp mixer on this headphone is seem can go through more higher quality which is like another monster appear and doesnt sound like SHL9600 headphones.....is amazing.

Even that this headphone also can use as streetwear which is not bulky, easy to fold and the size is just like a panasonic RP-DJ100 series and one thing is more than important for user is a confort right? This headphone i'm wearing more than 5 hours without takeoff is confortable with a soft supra-aural cushions and headpadding with full headband adjustablility.

Overall i like the deisgn and shape with a good quality of sound and affordable price............ thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Position itself directly competing with Sennheiser PX200.
I know the joints can fold it, got storage casing/pouch (can't remember). Close typed DJ style, isolating outside noise and don't worry about Philips drivers are lemon, even the cheapest range also got the quality there.
With closed type cushion sitting on your ear cup of course it would offering better bass, but sometimes too much bass you will feel tired. That's why many headphones in the market they can produce impressive impression to the first time listener after a while you would feel tired.

alabais,
The SHN7500 Not selling yet in the market.
Still in the process obtaining SIRIM certification, this one would be so far the most expensive Philips earphones up to date.

Hi.
This is the thread I am posting up the headphones, earphones that I come across be it on sale Malaysia or sales sample that I saw or test before.
Not conducting any business in here. smile.gif

About the PhilKoss mod, the real essence is the Koss driver the Philips just providing body only to support it, I guess it is not a real Philips gear but more like Koss.
Koss bright sounding drivers + closed type enclosure looks like a mixed to me, because as I know those Philips drivers that use on open aural type headphones do not use on closed type assembly, they do not mixed. The sound deadening material you use you must cut and fit in equal way, if you don't fit it properly the sound would unbalance for left and right. smile.gif

Guys,

Trust me, the catalogue that Davis offers is really really good. And his prices? extremly good as well.

He's a nice guy who is both understanding and also very patient. I FFK-ed him a few times because i had some important work at the office. big project on my lap sad.gif

After 3 times FFK him, i scared after Davis marah me (all the way he never marah at all FYI!), straight away deposited the money into his maybank account and he sent out my philips earphones immediately the next day.

No matter what it is you wanna buy from Davis, you can trust him. Nice chap and very professional bussiness man.

Got my SHH9501 today, out of the box the sound is pretty good, but one thing about this phones, it doesnt really carry the typical "V" shaped equalizer sound signature of phillips. Has some pretty neat mids and sounds great on vocals. Overall, based on the look+SQ, id say its pretty good for its price. It definately would improve from further burn-ins. Unfortunately this unit isnt mine and would be leaving me soon =(

I tend to agree!

My Rm50 Philips Headphones sounds almost similar to Sennheiser's HD201!

I will not hesitate in future to buy Philips products... potential Davis customer.. wink.gif

Keep up the good work, PHILIPS! rclxms.gif

I like to but I can't. Profit cannot cover the shipping cost nor even self pick-up as well.

Those big and bulky item I leave it to electrical store but occasionally got TV promotion and superb good price, provided you have cash and free shipping given.

For you guys info. SHP9000 will not bring in to Malaysia due to expensive price RM899 and less people interest on it in Malaysia market.

China & Germany market already more than enough for Philips SHP9000.

Human attention to certain senses are limited. If you watching movie, your concentration would be on graphics while your hearing attention level would be drop, you might not hear the difference. If you listening on music you better get the SHP2700 or SHP8900.

just wonder y they din reseach n design it
i guess since they got so many product, they wont wanna dump too much on R n D on high end headphone
n they focus on major market, so they can gain more profit?

hey, they even can produce well known CD-Pro2 CD lens, i dun think is too difficult for them to produce something better than HD 650 if they want to right? tongue.gif

Philips optical drive laser head is the world most advance, that is why they are easily found on those high end CD player.
Philips also one of the world largest speaker driver maker, is not that hard to make good headphones for Philips but the world wide market not really pay attention to this brand but only Germany, that is why also Philips pampering Germans with tonnes of new product but only available for them. smile.gif

HP890 replaced by SHP895.
SHP895 replaced by SHP8900.

It was two generations older product, no longer in the market and all the product selling on shelf consider EOL.

Just got my SHL9600 DJ Power HP from DAVis, love it!

the sound is suprisingly crisp for somethin' so small and compact, the paddings cut a good amount of outside noise too, lovely.

The package comes with an extender and a small-to-big audio jack, very practically packed wink.gif My 1st Philips HP is already giving my ears a great time, now let's see if it can serve me as long as my old Senn wink.gif

nice dealing with ya !

It is very hard for manufacturer to push down the limit while maintaining the quality. Philips has very good record for not boasting their specification they are honest, humble price company. That is why they are the big brand in Germany market which is what Germans expecting.
