I have outstanding Loan with CIMB, they used to call me and offer full settlement with 30%-40% discount,
but the payment shall be made before month ends, else the promo will not be valid anymore.

This is not my first time getting these call. I am planning to do full settlement by March.
Do i have to deal with debt collector or i can just walk to any CIMB branch to nego for discount.

You walk in they won't entertain, instead they'll ask you to call the CIMB call centre to check your current outstanding, then they'll ask you to bank in the total outstanding by certain date.

What kind of debt first? If for those cash treat or cash lite etc i dont think they will give discount.

all dealings must be with bank directly.

Its a personal loan, yeah they did call me before for discount.

Debt collector claim that all if i refer bank i still got the same answer, i am curious about this.

I did walk in to USJ 9 Branch before to ask for my outstanding and they give me all the details.
But silly me i dont ask them further for full settlement.

It something called early settlement rebate. Usually for hire purchase and personal loan

For my car loan, i go direct cimb finance auto branch to get settlement amount and got discount.

im taking personal loan, im not sure what they call it but they said if settlement they give discount

if u dont mind, can share how many % they give discount.

So by all means the debt collector are not telling me the truth, they claim have to deal with them.
If i go to the bank, bank will ask me to contact them hmm.

i believe, it's not really a discount.. You're just paying a lower interest because your loan tenure is now lesser.

Wah, personal loan also can get early settlement discount, dunno why some told me personal loan got penalty if settle earlier fuk. Suka2 claim and I buta2 believe.

But lucky I borrow very little and short tenure.

30%-40% is that based on the last amount inclusive of interest?
