white box  is normally connect direct to  a specific  LAN port of router. 

UPB box you use  wifi AC  to connect .  hence can use anywhere in your house. 

both will  work .  i have this setup .

if u r changing total package with new router, they will send technician to do all.

in my case, no router involved, just tv pack change, they mail the UPB.

mind u, unifitv is straightforward but the VOD apps need a little attention.

takes a few days in total.

there is a min speed to subscribe ultimate plus, min speed for max.

if u r below, they won't allow it until u change to higher speed.

in my case, i was already on 800/ultimate, can change to plus or max.

i did that at unifi selfcare portal.

u shud be able to upgrade to ultimate plus via this:

even if u r under contract, shud still be possible since it's an upgrade, yr bill incr.

My old ultimate was RM60.
Ultimate max is 90. Add 10 for Netflix premium 4k.
Total is now 100. That is +40 from old 60.

The first new bill comes v quickly. It shows all the prorated credit, debit. Next bill, straightforward.

Where is the QR code to scan for the Smart Tv? I can't find it in my phone app 😢

That's normal android phone/tablet login. For Smart TV, you now need a QR code login via the app.
But as you can see, the QR scanner option is missing from the app.

Hi all, anyone exp stuttering with unifi tv vlan 600? I have both white stb and upb v2..unbearable! I have 800mbps with umax pack...no issue with my vlan 500 internet....also no issue if using ott unifi tv...any suggestions greatly appreciated..tq

Install app on phone, create account.
Activate hbo at self-care portal on pc
Install, open app on TV
Sign in with email ID, etc.
Auto goes into action.
Did same on 2 TVs, upb, mobile phone.
All same procedure.
