The annoying thing about Disney+ Hotstar is that most of the time new movies or TV shows are only available in HD. You have to wait a week before they upgrade it to 4K. Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV+ and Max don't have that issue.

When Unifi provided Disney+ Hotstar for free, this was annoying but not a big issue since it was "free". Now that I have to pay RM10 for Premium, I'm going to message them every time this happens to new content.

Hotstar kan. We Malaysians get the cheap Disney+ instead.

Direct billing to Unifi or what?

If via Unifi, Netflix service ends after a month from the date you’re cancelled it. So it’s flexible, you can already cancel it anytime. Consider manage through MyUnifi app or call 100.

ASTAF Sepak Takraw is on Unifi Sports Ch 701 & on Unifi’s YouTube as the official broadcaster.

Astro Arena (host broadcaster) airs the tournament as well.

Unifi TV has shortened the 7-day Catch-Up feature for TVS (Ch 122) to just 2 hours, now accessible only via the seek scroller.

beIN Sports subscribers, link your Unifi ID to start streaming.

Catch-up will be available at midnight onwards on the same app.

Starting today, Zee Thirai has introduced its new logo identity. Ch 302 is now simply renamed to Z Thirai.

The rebranding also extends to its streaming app — ZEE5 is now known as Z5.

Unifi TV Content Update: July 2025

MTV Live (Ch 531) ceases transmission on July 1, 2025. Asian Food Network (AFN) replaces the channel on Ch 521.

If you’re using the Silver/White Box, you’ll notice that Travel Channel is also on Ch 521.

Yes. AFN will eventually take over Ch 521, replacing Travel Channel.

Three more channels will be discontinued after 11:59 PM on June 30, 2025:

Ch 233 — Now Jelli
Ch 529 — Luxe.TV
Ch 652 — France24 English

In conclusion, 5 channels ceasing, only 1 replacement.

There are two versions of the BBC Player app on the Android TV Play Store.

Check the app description before downloading—one version is for “Singtel & StarHub subscribers in Singapore”, while the other is meant for “Unifi (and Astro) subscribers in Malaysia”.

As for the smartphone app, it’s pretty much a no-go. I kept getting error messages on my iPhone whenever I tried logging in with either my Unifi or Astro account.

The all-new Unifi TV app will be arriving in phases soon.

Subscribers who sign up after June 17 will be the first to access it. Existing users will receive an SMS notification once their account is ready to transition to the new Unifi TV 2.0 app.

One of the “major” additions: Personalized profiles.
