Ch 461 ends at 6:10 AM, Feb 1, 2025, including its VOD service.

So it’s back to Astro (sooka app included) as an exclusive pay-TV provider.

I hope I can at least finish watching the Running Man episode tonight. They run for 90 minutes at least, which will make the end time past midnight.

QUOTE(UnifiTVFan @ Jan 31 2025, 04:44 PM)
Well, ONE will be ceased at 6 AM, so you will probably be able to catch Running Man.
*
ONE Ch 461 has been discontinued at midnight, in the middle of Running Man (2025) Ep 715.

Unifi TV is currently the sole pay-TV provider to air ALL 4 Media Prima (MPB) TV channels in full HD 1080i. As of this writing lah, better monitor overtime.

MYTV just recently reduced TV3 & 8TV to SD 576i (16:9) quality. I hope it’s temporary though. ntv7 & TV9 are still in SD 576i (4:3).

Newcomer OK Vision got 3 MPB channels: TV3 in HD; 8TV & TV9 in SD.

It's a chicken and egg problem due to Unifi TV being available only if you're subscribed to a Unifi account. They want more channel, they need more subscribers, but they can't get any more unless more people subscribe to a Unifi ISP, and they (Unifi TV) rely on Unifi to offset their pricing to the consumer.

At least with Astro, they have Sooka which does not require one to have an Astro account.
*
To recap, the Unifi TV app is also open to all Malaysians without a Unifi Home account, but doesn't have the following channels:

LCN Channel brands
288 Celestial Movies
289 CCM
VOD Miao Mi
302 Zee Thirai
303 Sony YAY!
311 Colors Tamil
333 Colors Cineplex
401 HBO
402 HBO Hits
403 HBO Family
405 Cinemax
407 HITS Movies
451 Warner TV
453 AXN
454 HITS
462 K-Plus
VOD Aniplus
472 Animax
511 HGTV
521 Travel Channel
556 Cartoon Network
613 WION
701 Unifi Sports
708-711 beIN Sports 1-4

Unifi is ahead of time with this offer since HyppTV Everywhere. Astro also did something similar with the defunct NJOI Now app and Astro On-The-Go TV Pass for non-Astro subscribers, if you remember.

Cool chart. You can get Prime Video for RM17 if you go to Amazon.sg and subscribe to their Amazon Prime package. Then Prime Video is considered free.
*
Can subscribe just like that or still need VPN?

No. But got price hike instead, now RM139.90 per month due to Netflix updated pricing Nov 2024.

Last time RM134.90, previously RM129.90.

exclude, only the tv pack
but you always can walk in unifi center (previously known as tm point) to ask for bundles with internet, should have cheaper promo with tv pack
*
The next best TV pack to stream all channels is Family Pack at RM60/mth. Got HBO + Max app, no Netflix & Disney+.

Unifi currently bundles this recommended TV pack with its fiber offerings.

More WBD channels? More premium channels like TVB, Star Vijay, Lifetime, History, etc?

But I'm still quite disappointed about the fact that Unifi TV currently has 1 native HD Chinese channel and 0 native HD Indian channel. All current Chinese channels (except CCM) have HD feed, though. It's quite unfair that they can't even broadcast Colors Tamil in HD. Anyway, they should bring in more quality Chinese and Indian channels, though.
*
Seems like they only want to focus on streaming partners’ content offerings instead for those segments. Unifi TV is also being considered a streaming platform.

Unifi TV is way cheaper than Astro. It's unfair to compare them like this. 🙄

Astro's Platinum Pack and Epic Pack costs more than RM 150, and they don't even bundle that many apps compared to Ultimate Max. Please leave Ultimate Pack and Family Pack alone since they already have 6 apps in both. Astro's Movies Pack costs around RM 95 (without discount), which is about RM 25 more expensive than Unifi TV's Movies Pack, and you can spend that RM 25 to decide whether you want to add-on Prime Video or not instead forcing you to sub to it.

In conclusion, Unifi TV is still better than Astro when it comes to pack bundling. 😎
*
Their once-iconic Movies Pack has essentially been reduced to just HBO channels—assuming customers even notice the change. Since November 2024, Astro’s other movie channels like Astro Showcase, Astro Thangathirai, Celestial Movies, HITS Movies, tvN Movies, and Zee Cinema have been moved to the more affordable Primary Pack.

On the bright side, Astro customers now get access to Prime Video alongside Netflix and Disney+ as part of their free app bundle, helping to justify the cost of the Movies Pack.

Currently, the Movies Pack includes access to the Max app (with HBO channels and the Max Standard Plan), offering a bundled deal that saves just RM1 compared to the standalone retail prices (Standard: RM 34.90, Ultimate: RM52.90).

Yeah. Same happened to me. I realise that I cannot watch SPOTV and SPOTV2 on my Aneka Plus Pack anymore. Before this can for so many years. I wonder why. Any help?
*
Wow, Unifi didn’t even give you guys a heads-up—though technically, they do have the right to change the T&Cs whenever they want. They just went ahead and removed the SPOTV channels from the ethnic packs.

If you still want access to SPOTV (Ch 706–707), you can get it separately for RM40, assuming you plan to keep your current TV pack.

Alternatively, you can upgrade to the Family Pack for just RM60*. It unlocks all 70+ channels that include beIN Sports, SPOTV, and their companion apps—so you can keep watching MotoGP, F1, soccer, and tennis matches. You’ll also get access to HBO channels and the Max app.

*Save RM10; RM70 total if still on any ethnic Plus pack at RM30 + SPOTV channels at RM40.
