rm60->69.90 is quite painless; 60->99.90 is painful!

This unifitv TV packs thingy... diff people see them differently.

I dun really care about the TV channels except for a couple.

I tend to watch mostly netflix, d+h, iqiyi. HBOgo will become a fav too. So, for someone like me, old ultimate means little but it came bundled with broadband. But now, ultimate max now means everything!

They should free upgrade the legacy to Ultimate Plus coz those guys are keeping them alive.

Did some more testing. Hmm... I was wrong. The box can stream Netflix, Disney in 4khdr. I used a wrong HDMI port at the receiver! All's v gud now. Picture quality is a tad better than using TV direct. And I get DD+ audio.

So, my verdict is the box isn't too bad, does what it is supposed to do pretty well. I m happy enough!

Well, Tonton is an OTT platform while Unifi TV is operated as a pay-TV provider. You know the rules - all Pay TV providers should monitor and ensure that their output content is complied to the censorship board.

Plus, Animax has adult-oriented titles like "Rent A Girlfriend"; therefore, they need that delay because they don't have that many staffs working in the censorship department. For your info, shortly after they launched Netflix on their platform, they're actually posting "digital flyers" stating that they're hiring people to the censorship job during the weekend. It gave away that facts that HBO will eventually come to Unifi TV, and it happened.

If you're really concerned about that, try to also comment on tvN Movies' 1h 10 min delay. The feed has already been a +1 feed, but Unifi TV insists to delay for another 10 min while Astro only does it with another 5 minutes.

Anyway, HBO (CH 401) has 4 min delay even the TV guide doesn't state that.

At this point, as long as Unifi TV is willing to provide the channels with affordable prices and additional features (like 7 days catch-up, 2 hours playback, multiple subtitles and language audio tracks and VOD services), I'm okay with that.

Plus, I'm hoping that they can launch more Indian channels in conjuction with Deepavali in November. Right now, there's only one Tamil GE channel, one Tamil movie channel, one Hindi movie channel, and one Tamil kids channel. We need a second Tamil GE channel and at least one Hindi GE channel. I've suggested this to the team via Messenger recently.

Also, I'm kinda curious what kind of Chinese GE channel will they actually bring in to the platform.

Does anyone have any issue accessing Unifi TV website? I either got "The provided host name is not valid for this server." or redirected to Unifi website with the "IT SEEMS THAT THE PAGE IS NOT FOUND OR DOES NOT EXIST. ERROR CODE: 404" message. The team said that it's working on their side. No idea what is going on.

i only wish they bring in Asian Food Network and/or Food Network - both are part of warner bros offering like Travel Channel, HGTV, HBO which we already have!

As I suspected, we're only limited to the phone app. I presume unlike BEIN who is an established player in this region, SPOTV is just starting out and can't really afford to give away much access without eating into their profit margin.

Yes. All the new HBO channels (including Cinemax) will not be included in the existing (aka discontinued) Ultimate Pack. To continue watching these channels after this month, you need to upgrade to the Ultimate Plus or Ultimate MAX Pack. New packages, which will include the HBO channels, will be introduced this early October. Remember this. Any upgrade, that includes either Netflix or HBO or both, will renew your contract for 24 months because of the free UPB box being delivered to your house once the upgrade has been approved. Therefore, please consider changing your current Internet plan to the latest offer because they will save you a lot, and you won't feel so burdened about the 24 months contract.

I just asked the team via Messenger, and they claimed they didn't receive any official statement from the top regarding any new channel and pack (except HBO GO because that one has been reported across multiple websites).

I think what've been told by the users here are the insider news or they know someone who works in the content acquisition department. The CS department claims they know nothing.
