Was flipping through the channels, and noticed that on Al Hijrah, the channel is distorted, kinda like a 4:3 format but after a few seconds it will turn to normal widescreen, the effect is like when you play with the aspect ratio button on the tv remote, lol

Actually you can get netflix 1080p on the unifi plus box. Tested and proven on the netflix Test Pattern, check it out in the unifi plus box thread. Unofficially of course, by using the modded netflix mobile version 4.x
In fact this same apk will get you 1080p netflix on all google certified (widevine L1) boxes, except those using hacked DRM like one of those beelinks that I can't remember.

Actually if you are using MiBox S you can just install the latest unifi tv (1.2.2) from the playstore.. mod no longer necessary.

same thing happened to my old modeo (amlogic) box running atvxperience
the latest working version on that box is 1.1.06 mod by pendekar7 (unify playTV AND-TV_1106_rev3).. unfortunately 116 is the version before unifi added the program guide, subtitle and audio options in the app.

Don't think it's because of root because I have Magisk installed and root status is hidden. Even the old (worked awesome) or new astro go app (which wont run smoothly of course just like on mi box s) could not the detect the root status.
The box is on ATV v7.. is yours running android 7 as well?

If you can provide the logcat via adb to pendekar7 he probably can fix it.
I'm fine with using the older version as it is my secondary box.

You have to use the older mod version, 116 IIRC. Go back a few pages, look for the post by pendekar7

bro try the new legacy version 114 (with program guide) by woundxp, it works on 1 of my devices (previously only 116 can be used)

One of the few cheap Google certified and Netflix certified box.

Actually you can use Netflix on the UPB.. the catch is, it's a modified version of a very old Netflix mobile APK (v4.x)
Max resolution is only 1080p though. If you use any other netflix mobile versions it's only SD.
maybe you can use it on the old 1080p tv in the kitchen
