Downgrade rim means need to buy another set of rims, can change 2 sets of tyres lor.... sweat.gif The payback is quite long down the road starting only from the 3rd set of tyres....

Eh...how come no one recommend FK510?
*
Well you will trade in your rim for that 17" rim de ma.. Or you swap with people who wanted a 18" rim so you no need to pay that much lor.

17" n 18" price is huge difference so it wouldn't take 3rd set of tyres to payback.. I would say 1 and a half set to recoup the payback and it's better for your wallet.

Got many cheap but still decent used rims la, or find oem rims from other car's that can also fit, usually dirt cheap.

Coz FK510 is a bit more expensive than V12E2 but yes that's also an excellent value for money.

Michelin PS3 or PS4 FTW!!

Once u used, no other brand will satisfy u =D

Will PS4 last long time? is it gripper tyres wear out faster? I have budget enough for 2 PS4 for replacing the botak one and stay with the hifly and accerela for a little longer until next month mayb.

Tried MC5. Nothing great about these tyres. Some reviews says MC6 is better. Anyway, if you are looking for longer life tyres, then you should look for GY tyres.

Hurm, Let me go ask the shop around, GoodYear right? I try ask ask. thanks bro.

My goodness, gado2 mix setup!  doh.gif  Seriously, change them all! You should not mix 4 different tires in 1 car, some more they're ALL crap tires too! Get that Hankook V12 Evo 2, only rm325/pc which dirt cheap already for a very good high performance tires at such big size too. If you still cannot afford that, then seriously, just downgrade to smaller rims.
*
But I don't mind the price, just wish to get a longer thread life + better tyres. i got this set rims second hands while they come with those tyres =( Anyway, I still keep that r16 rim, but since its not budget issue. it should be fine. i had been reading across primacy 3 and ps4

If you don't mind, what car are you driving? And what is your expectation of "long"?

My experience is that the dunlop formula range has quite good wear rate, have the size your require. Mine lasted almost 80k km on vios. (just don't expect great performance).

https://www.dunloptyres.com.my/products/pas...es/formula-d05/

PS4's design don't have wear longevity in mind, more towards performance. Can consider primacy 4 since primacy 3 already obsolete if price isn't that much of a concern to you.

If you want to change tyres, just in set of 4 will land you lower cost per tyre compared to buying in single unit or a pair. And since just one month difference, just change all 4 one shot.

If want longevity, then look for tires with tread wear in the high 300 (360 above) or even 400 and 500 like Dunlop DZ105, Michelin XM2, Continental CC series, Hankook S1 Noble or Prime etc. but the grip performance will be lousy! In most cases also due to age, the rubber becomes hardened and cracking hence you'd still need to change when treads still rather thick, unless you drive so much like taxi drivers.

inspira. expectation of long, I also not sure, but my myvi xm2 last me for 6 years still very deep thread.

Thank you for your advice, I intend to change at least two for now. because they are already worn out. I mean the front. Let me try to check if the dunlop formula d05 available here or not. hurm

Checked Hankook US website & V12E2 is available in that size.

BTW what's your car rim width? Can check out alternative sizes here.

Hi all, just a quick update, i did changed my tyres to Primacy 4. 2019 2nd week made. Switched to the front, fill with nitrogen to 35psi. So far, I can say the previous noise from the tyres are greatly reduce, however it still exist and maybe come from the back, since i am still using one accelera and one hifly at the rear side. overall seems to be easier to accelerate but this might not be accurate as it all just my feeling. I kind of like the new tyres, doing around 40km only distance so far. total damage 1260. biggrin.gif Not sure about threadwear, but it shows 340 iinm.
