I just use autolock, bought at Aeon Jusco. Seems decent enough.

I'm using Autolock. Same type as below, but older style cross lock key.

Been using it for more than 10 years in my old manual corolla. Car was broken into twice before. Once was to steal coins. That was in IOI Mall open air car park. They would probably would stole the car if they had a parking ticket. Still the auto lock probably deterred them.

The other time was in Puchong Jaya near Proton showroom. The car was nearly driven off as the the ignition key slot was mangled. But car cannot change gear due to the lock in place at clutch pedal. They stole a new UPS battery instead that i had in my car that time.

I am not going to gloat that this thing works. I bought it because my car does not have an alarm system. And it is only RM90 after i used some JUSCO vouchers for it. (Yes it is that long!)

Pros : What i said above.

Cons : It is heavy. It is a hassle to put away because it is about 2 feet in length retracted. Cumbersome to engage and take out. Could pinch your fingers when the locking rod slides down. Metal can rust when powder coating & chrome chips away.

Unmentioned usage : I actually used it to hit a Honda City that was driven by thieves that snatch my customer bag & phone. Grab the lock extend full length to 4 feet, and it is instant bludgeon weapon. Only managed to smash their tiny rear window as they make their escape hastily.

Thanks thanks but this one a bit old skul ady... I kept a baseball stick type of steering lock in car too... Haha

That baseball stick lock is not as good because easier to remove by cutting the steering, and you can also still steer a bit even with it attached. Pedal locks on the other hand is harder to remove because you cannot cut the pedal as the steel is much harder and thicker than steering. I also don't like the fixed pedal locks because seems obstrusive.
