Hi guys,
I purchased a single story semi-d house a couple of years back. I was thinking of converting it to double story as the current built up is very small (about 900 sq feet). The land area is about 3000 sq feet, so I am planning to extend it to about 1300 sq feet. So the total built up should be around 2600 sq feet.

Just in case here is the specs:-
1)Total built-up 2600 sq feet (2 floors)
2)4 rooms & bathrooms

I just need a rough estimation to tear the down the current structure and rebuild the 2 storey house. Doesn't have to include the fixtures. And if you have any contractor you can recommend, I would really appreciate it.

thanks for the advice guys, I really appreciate it.

I will probably be breaking down the old structure and rebuilding the double storey house as the old structure is quite old. From what I understand, the cost of piling is the killer rclxub.gif .

I am currently in 2 minds, should i just extend the house and leave it 1 floor, or break and down it and convert it to double storey. If its going to be 4 or 5 times more expensive, I will probably leave it at 2 stories.

jetblast,
Thanks bro. Would you mind PM me your contractors number? Price seems reasonable.

lucifah,
Already checked bro. Can convert to double storey.

Orzie,
Already expect to pay "expedit" fees. Hopefully it won't be much rclxub.gif

AskarPerang,
Thanks bro notworthy.gif . i already PM him

Bjorn1688,
There are a couple of double storey houses there already and i have approached MBPJ a couple of years back and they said I can convert to double storey. I don't think there will be any issues with the neighbours as currently my house is an eye sore and they are hoping i will renovate it thumbsup.gif . Even though my house is a semi-d, the next door house has been broken down and the land has been vacant for quite some time, so actually can consider it as detached.
