QUOTE(Yukaeshi @ Oct 20 2007, 12:36 PM) Yeah la... car also need to take care like women have to take care of the face one ur car blink blink like ur face The NXT Generation Spray Wax is RM 60 at Eneos, non abrasive to new paint and suitable for all colours, but hard to buff off. Wouldn't exactly recommend it if you're looking for a wax |

QUOTE(Yukaeshi @ Oct 22 2007, 06:34 PM) Meguiar's car wash mitt is RM 50 if I'm not mistaken. There are other brands of car wash mitts out there though, can check them out. how long can its last? if i use weekly or every fortnight?Car wash mitts are the best obviously. They may not completely prevent scratches, but it definitely can be minimised/avoided. The 2 bucket water (One for car shampoo + water and the other clean water) is also recommended |

QUOTE(Yukaeshi @ Oct 23 2007, 04:12 PM) Yeah... at this current weather even I can't do my DIY detailing yaya correct giant also selling cheap micro fibre clothes... anyway i m having difficulties to clean my windows... how u all clean ur windows? I clean it but it seems when the light shone on my rear window i can see the wiping trace during night... Polish is not the same as wax, don't be mistaken! Polish should be done every 6-8 months, but a new car shouldn't be polished (Wait at least 6 months after getting a new car) as the paint may be still "soft" and polishing will remove a layer of the paint. New cars need time for the paint to "settle in". I bought a huge microfibre cloth at ACE Hardware, it's about 40cm X 60 cm and for only... what? RM 5.xx if I remember correctly |

QUOTE(egiewan @ Oct 23 2007, 07:33 PM) Brand new cars now or if you repaint the car in the proper painting booth(oven baked ones), the paint will cure properly edy. After repainting mostly the painter will polish to get the perfect shine. So no need to wait until 6 months ma polish is like sanding... the painter ll polish the car to make sure the color is even... while the paint is new and everything is perfect and shiny u polish it just to make it thinner.. yes u can make it but the more u polish the more thin paint become.. U can polish as many times as u wan actually.. for me i ll polish once i feel my car is dirty which i can clean by regular wash.. then i ll polish... a proper waxing also ll reduce the frequent of polish as the wax coat ll prevent dirt from sticky ur car... so wax regular...try to think how polish remove dirts or other paints then u ll have better understanding... just my humble opinion so correct me if i made mistakeAdded on October 23, 2007, 8:15 pm QUOTE(sleepwalker @ Oct 23 2007, 04:39 PM) RM1550 for 3 detailing package.
