I think alot here have given enough advises. If u dont have much saving and 1-2 commitments, I strongly advise u not to resign out of emotion. Just hang in there and search for new opportunities along the way.

Get real, bro. It's not an easy world out there. Someone's gotta pay the bill right? Personally, I have not done it, but my wife did it 6 years ago. Of course, she got me to cover, so she can fire her old boss. She managed to find a new job right after her notice. But with current economy situation, it might not be as easy.
