The only time I did this was when I was working with a company which had 3 months notice for resignation. Got a job one and a half months after tendering.
If your job has a long notice period then it might be the only way. Hardly anyone willing to wait or buy out for 3 months.

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jan 15 2019, 11:44 AM) Ya wei. The notice period is the reason why I can't secure some jobs too. Too long. Not all companies willing to buy out especially with the current economy condition where they need to keep cost low. How long is your notice period? If itโs anything more than 2 months by all means tender first. Then keep going for interviews. I was stuck for almost 2 years trying to land a job when I had 3 months notice and got 3 offers when I tendered first and had 1 month plus notice left. Unless you lazy or working in really niche industry or role. Impossible to not land anything in that 3 months.

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jan 15 2019, 11:52 AM) If not mistaken is 3 months, but I think there's a clause that the notice period will be 6 months when I'm employed more than 3 years in this company. Need to check back offer letter first. lol Better check, if 6 months then you really can wait until cows fly before you get an offer leh.

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jan 15 2019, 12:24 PM) why need cows? kenot piggy ke? Piggy year this year wad. :lol; On a serious note, yeah. so doomed if it's really 6 months. Coz I recall, previously when one of the senior technical guy left, I seen him for quite sometime in office before his farewell party. Cows heavier, ๐ If 6 months really need to tender first if not stay there forever. QUOTE(lucifah @ Jan 15 2019, 12:26 PM) so u work in what industry? Yep, most important question is this. If niche industry or those manufacturing industry. Might be hard this year, business quite slow.
