Hi. Anyone know that altech camera open ? Did anyone buy  anything from the new shop? Pls advised.

Yeah they are reliable. At least a lot better than stchua

I didn't know there's this Acce Camera thread. Since it existed, let me share a story of my incident.

Topic - Stchua sold a USED unit Nikon Z6 as NEW unit to me.

Yes. I knew about Stchua bullshit lies and tekan skill etc. But I've never expect he will be this daring selling a USED as NEW to me.
This happened at the end of June. I was sourcing around for New Nikon Z6 around few different camera stores and Stchua is selling at the best price of RM7400. I've contacted him and confirmed there's a last unit for RM7400. Booked it and went all the way to Time Square to get the unit.

Upon arrival, I have a feeling things not gonna be right. They took the Z6 and easily opening it up without double confirmed whether am I purchasing it. The unbox moment, I realized the plastic packaging doesn't look like out from factory, the New Z6 unit has some dust on it(weird rightttt). But I was excited for the New Z6, I just let it go, accepted the unit and tested everything fine, proceed with payment. During the testing, I borrowed a battery from them to test, hence the Z6 battery is remain unopened. Please note that all new camera comes with 5% or EMPTY battery.

Now on my way back(my gf was the one driving), i was too excited, so didn't bother about low battery left. I still loaded it into the Z6 and powered it up. GUESS WHAT, the battery was 75% charged. My mind goes like "Huh? why the hell a new unit battery is charged?". Still excited and carries on doing the setting then noticed the Z6 is running on latest firmware with Eye Auto Focus enabled(New Z6 suppose to be running on old firmware without Eye Auto Focus feature and disabled). Again "Dafuq why this unit updated huh? Well, save my job from upgrading firmware".

Gotten home, shoot shoot around but my feeling tells me something is not right. Then I noticed that Z6 battery has a custom Nikon Z6 sticker on it. This was the time in my mind "Wow since when Nikon provide a written "Nikon Z6" sticker on battery. At this point of time, I took out the XQD card, and check on the shutter count and BOOMMMMMM. My Z6 first click at Stchua shop was 764 !!!!!!

I took a short video of the shutter count check and whatsapp to Stchua. The reason he gave me was "I didn't know about that, my supplier told me is a new unit". Okay fine, he told me will meet me the next night to swap a new unit.

Next day, during the evening, I message to check with him about the meet up in Puchong as agreed, then he started giving me reason that he's very busy and can't leave the shop. At this point of time, I know his bullshit is here again. My photography circle of friends already warned me about his FFK skill. I still kinda chill to deal with him because I want back a new unit. So he proposed to meet on the next following day again in the morning.

Next following day morning, called him to meet at 930am. Here come his bullshit reason again, he told me that his wife drove his car out, can only meet in the evening, so I told him, how about I go your shop and meet you. He said in the evening 5pm, I agreed and ended the call. Then I started thinking what kind of bullshit he will do next. I went to Mudah and check on his page, realized he posted a new unit Z6 selling at RM7800. This point of time, I knew he will not swap and wanna drag till I lost patience and just use the "new" Z6. I called him and said I will go to his house and meet him, and the reason he gave "the unit is in the car and my wife drove it out".  At this point, I didn't want to tolerate further, I said I will go to his shop and change during lunch time and deal with his partner Calvin. Immediately he got triggered saying "This business is so stress that I don't want to do anymore. So hard to deal with you guys. I return you the money and you return me the unit, I come Puchong meet you now, I go borrow car from my father in law". Time set and deal. Yes he turned up and return me the cash.

I've deal a lot of used unit of lenses with him and knowing his bullshit skill well but I never expect that he's daring to do this for a New Unit Camera Body.
A very unfortunate event but also fortunate that I've experience purchasing new body to find out about this problem and get back the money.

Below are few things to take note for purchasing new unit from any store:
1. Battery comes at 5%-- or empty.
2. Camera firmware usually old version.
3. Packaging is neat and tidy

I did report this case to Nikon Professional Service's Manager, however they can only take note of this issue but nothing much can be done. Reason is because Stchua is not Nikon Authorized Reseller. Beside that, Nikon's distributor can distribute the stock to any reseller despite authorized and non authorized as it's an open market.

Stchua business target audience are more on the secondary school student on around the city centre. Hence, he's willing to accept trade-in at higher rate(If you know how to deal with him) and resell at low value, as long as he can clear the stock fast, maybe the earning is as low as RM200 which I've witnessed before.

Selling used as new unit chances is actually very low I would say. He was lucky able to do that because the user trade in the Nikon set along with all the free gifts, hence he's able to package it back as new unit. If the user did not trade in the free gift, I'm pretty sure that he's not able to do that.
