How do we tell if it's original Tanix TX3 if so many companies are slapping the TX3 logo on identical boxes?

Yes it's there.
"Tanix TX3 Android 9.0 TV Box"
Pix shows black box with Tanix name on top and no mention of "TX3"

The ones with Tanix name or the ones with just TX3?

And the one with the TX3 logo is not Tanix?
I think most people here got the the TX3 branded model.
Even the recommended seller here (linglang.my) is selling the TX3 model with the product specification clearly saying "Brand: No Brand"

Reference board is one thing, the final product is another matter.
There is the issue of component quality (apart from the Amlogic chip), manufacturing quality etc...

Reviews online say the Tanix products are reliable and well made.
But I'll bet most here (if not all) are getting generic TX3s
(Hands up those who got Tanix branded boxes)

PS. I got my eye on the new S905X3 Tanix/TX3 box

By the name "Tanix" or TX3 on the tv box and the "Tanix" brand on the packing box.

Someone earlier posted that you can turn bluetooth-less Mini into Max with bluetooth with Max firmware.
Apparently the bluetooth hw is there all along.

Use remote with built in gyro feature.
Then you can swing like lightsaber.

Sigh...

I could have just paid RM113 for the 2/16GB model since I wouldn't be playing games on it.

BTW, both are running DDR3.

It was RM146 last Monday 11.11 RM13 less than yours then.

I am now looking into HDMI switchers and HDMI audio extractors to switch between the TX3 and two PCs to one monitor and one set of speakers.
