TX3 Mini arrived.

- It's model Mini-A
- Android 8.1
- Has Close Root in settings
- Bluetooth working, tested with Logitech K380
- ethernet port seems not working, running on wifi now. I think it sees my 5Ghz wifi, will confirm later.
- UniFi PlayTV is working
- AOTG not tested yet, forgot my password
- Youtube OK
- Netflix OK
- Kodi dunno how to use
- many other apps installed. Tested one, forgot name, which has local TV channels, etc...
- still a bit blur on how to the thing

Seller must be mistaken or unaware.

The root switch is in Settings.. superuser... close root there.

Ask seller to recheck!

I will be surprised if it is there for 4+32, 4+64 but not 2+16.

Even tx3mini 2+16 has it.

Tanix TX6 is quite popular...just go for the 4gb/64gb variant. If u are adventurous enough...u can go for the amlogic s912 octa-core Tanix TX9S from gearbest.com for RM107. It supports AOTG and unifi tv apps too, but need to disable root from the settings menu.

3 months ago, i recommended tx3mini - the champion for its time.

today the worthy successor tx3 s905x3 is my recommendation - for just another rm60-70.

where u buy is immaterial, as long as u get the right box at right price and on time.

yes, the wifi is not so good becos it lacks external antenna and 5ghz is only N.

i look forward to the next tanix upgrade with s922x chipset, gigabit port and ac wifi.

I don't know man, hard to know what causes it. I don't mind spending for a better box I don't know if it will fix this issue. Just like how I thought moving from tx3 mini to tx3 would stop the crash, but it didn't. I'm guessing it's the app not optimized but it's just a guess. If only there's a way to know.

I have a 2GB Tx3 mini, in the early days using older AstroGo version, the app would crash more often than not when I change tab quickly ( i.e. home, catch-up, movies, box set, library etc).

Lately after upgrading to latest version from apkpure - it rarely crash. Maybe it is my intuition to NOT quickly change tab before the last one is fully loaded. Could be the latest version fixed the problem.

You could try this to isolate if AstroGo is the problem.

Developer mode > Destroy activity as soon as you leave it.

Basically nothing runs in the background while using AstroGo. Not even the home launcher.

I did read you have HBO Go app. I don't have that in my Tx3.

If all else fails, just hard reset. Install AstroGo and nothing else. Test for a couple of days.
