The thing people need to know before answering your question is what you want to use it for.
If you can list it out then people can give recommendations.

MX3 airmouse comes with instruction right?
You can pair it properly with the box or make it learn the power button of your basic remote so that the power button on mx3 works the same as power button of the basic remote then you don't need the basic remote anymore.

Another thing I notice is I need to press the red mouse/cursor button above no 3 on the mx3 to stop the cursor from moving before pressing powerkey else the box will keep waking itself up.

I set my powerkey to sleep instead of shutdown coz the time it takes to boot is abit long for my liking.
