err.. power already tripped, so basically no power to anything in the house..
come to think of it, it was just quick reaction to put out the fire

i had this UPS thingy powering my PC.. that's why i knew my house power tripped, else I wouldn't have a clue what was going on. Thank my lucky stars eventually.

Yeah, lucky that nobody got hurt. There was no tell-tale about it happening. It was purchased back in 2001, so probably over the years the wiring degraded and shorted causing fire. The fire was from inside of it. To be honest, the machine is a great convenience at home. Even if we get the electric hot water pot thingy, it'll still be plugged in 24/7. That aside, have to cool down the boiled water at another container to have normal temp. water. Chilled water, you'll have to put them in water and place inside the fridge. The machine is seriously very convenient.

ouch! happened to my house last year also but it was at the power box. apparently the wire wasn't thick enough to take the electricity if i on 1 aircond and water heater. next day my bro took shower with the water heater on and guess wat? the power box was lit up with fire...i had to quickly whack it with a cloth else i'll be homeless too. in the end asked someone to replace the wire and i had to wipe the black spot and respray the wall
