I went to JPJ this morning. think got 20-30 pax rider plan to complete the AH thingy. Guess what, none of them got through. Here are the stupid hurdles as mentioned by the officer who handles our request;

1. They cant process those with daily insurance. Only annual insurance is accepted - for now.

2. Even if you got EVP, if APAD didn't or haven't updated in the system, JPJ unable to process your AH request.

3. Even if you got Puspakom certified, if PUSPAKOM did not update in the system, JPJ still cannot process your request.

4. Your Puspakom certification is invalid if it was approved more than 30 days ago. Yes, they ask you to redo the Puspakom inspection all over again, since changing code to AH for a car more than 3 years old requires a "fresh" Puspakom inspection. The rationale that they give was this is normal practice for the taxi industry and every request to change code like AH must be accompanied with valid/recent Puspakom approval. Mine was clearly valid till May 2020 but they didn't accept as ask to redo the Puspakom inspection all over again since its already expired.

5. JPJ counters don't even have JPJ-EH1 form. They ask you to print and fill up yourself. Crazy!

That's all for now, I give up and just go back like most of the drivers today. Clearly, this is time-consuming and wastage lots of drivers' money.
If you ask me, I think those who plan to meet up a minister or "mogok" on 10th or 11th (Sorry forgot already) does have a valid point because otherwise, things are just going to get worse from now on.

ps/ Did I mentioned that the update on both APAD/PUSPAKOM is not made automatically? No one knows how long these ppl will take to update the system. SO good luck.

According to MOT, only 60k+ drivers who passed the PSV exam, meaning whole Malaysia only have that amount of supply.

He said without printed EVP can drive, just show SS from Grab app, not without EVP.
If enforcement ask about EVP, i dont think "pending APAD approval" is a valid excuse, you will get summon 😁😁😁

Or maybe I miss that EVP explanation in that video.. can advise in what minutes he mention without EVP still can drive?

Hi all. Got little bit issue on PSV medical check. Yesterday I go to gdc signup since Crap got subsided medical checkup and the GP who undergo my medical check somehow put on hold give me referral letter ask me go see specialist 1st then come back (they didn't give me back the JPJ form) and go brief research all at least cost 100-200+ I was like god no ain't got time and money for that s**t.

Afterwards I chow to other clinic take the another JPJ form and do the same thing all over again and pass the test. So sifu2 lembu2 sekalian would I have any possible issue facing since got 1 form that uncompleted (probably they put temporary fail the test) keeping on crap side and 1 form that passed the test that now currently on my side. Note that I already pay deposit for Grab car rental, attending class and I plan go to somewhere else do PSV course and test. (Maybe scenario I seetle the rm20 medical check by Grab)

Anyone has experience how to deal with this scenario, after we pick up, the rider wanted to add extra pick up point (pick up point two)...

we cant do it from the app once we have pick up, right ?

i know we can have side deal with the rider for the extra mileage incurred. but what is the proper way to deal in this case ?

i got a friend he do grab. he told me he one day earns about 300~400.. On good days can earn up to 400, on not so good days he earn say 280++..

So lets say average he earn per day is 300 la.. He drive 5 weeks a day. He quit his normal job to do grab full time. Currently he is driving or working i should say about same amount of hours as he was working in office before this.. Monday-Friday, driving time is different he say he do morning till noon, then take break and continue evening till night time.. but estimate he work around 10 hours per day..

So based on that 300x5= 1500/week so 6k per month he earns. after minus grab commission he get 4.8k.. He told me his car loan is fully paid, so he only pays for petrol and maintenance every now and then.. I not sure he use how much petrol a month but i guess around 800 can cover for petrol? or lets say 1k for petrol..

So my question is, therefore he earns 3.8k per month nett.. I think that is quite decent no? About the same or even higher salary than fresh grads.. He told me if he wants more money that week/month he work on saturday/sunday or work longer as well..

My question is just this because from my POV it seems this grab job for him is quite sustainable.. For more clarifications: He is living with family and he has a gf so he does spend on dating and stuff.. So i want your thoughts on this since you guys are more experienced than me.

if i passed a toll to pick up a customer, that toll is charged to the customer later when dropping him off or the customer need not pay the toll (meaning its on us)?

and also, if the passenger refuses to use toll road, what should we as drivers do?
do we set waze to avoid toll roads, or still continue using toll road?

I'm planning to become a grab driver this year and I just gotten a new car in December 2019.

In short, this new car is a present from my Aunt however it was registered under her name but the insurance covered for all drivers.

So I wonder, do I still need to add on my name on the Cover note or I can register right away with all the necesarry documents will do?

I have failed my blood test in Grab office. They now allow me to come back to do the blood test.

After a week. my blood test still maintaned even after taking med . I think it's not fast to drop to low level.
My blood level is at 148 to 155 .

Can i do my medical check up outside instead of Grab ?

I own my own car and have successfully renewed my MSIG insurance online. But I was unable to renew my road tax at MYEG, it says "1. Transaction for this vehicle cannot be done online."

Is it because once E-Hailing drivers got their PSV and EVP we only can renew our road tax at JPJ counters? Any information pertaining to this is very much appreciated.

does the grab driver see the amount to be paid when they accept a job? coz i noticed that when i use promo and i pay like rm0 or rm2, no one want to take my request and sometimes driver take but then cancel. idk if its coz they can see i am only paying rm2 or what.

Hi, i baru lagi dalam grab car. In last 2 weeks i consistent get rm250 - rm350. I drive from 8.30am untill 4pm. Is that normal for other driver? Or its low than normal? Starting area bandar kinrara.

Anyone have any answer for this?
