i have exactly the same problem. i cant even do telnet 192.168.1.1.
after checking my cmd, all i get is as in the picture. how how how?? is it the modem problem? i tried resetting it by pressing at the back of the modem, but cant work. all i could do is direct connection. Attached thumbnail(s)
