Hi , i tried to tighten my rams . im using corsair twinx's and asus a8n sli premium. When i tried to start ,the ram lights are not moving and no beep sound is heard =.= However , when i take out the rams , there is long beep sound ! how to fix it =.= Someone help me >.,<

time to reset your bios. failed oc.

beeping sound sequence indicate something. in your case, i guess it meant no ram detected.

isit normal there's no beep sound ? and on the ram ... the lights stuck at the green ...

Hey , can if i get new value rams ... will it work ? .. i need to use the comp urgently >.<


Added on June 12, 2007, 8:26 ami resetted my bios >.< but still no beep sound and my comp cant boot =.=

seem like you got a fried component. how many pieces of ram u have now? try 1 by 1 at different slot. see it will boot or not. hope that help.

both rams dont work ... last time it happen to me b4 , i sent it for warranty . they came back saying they just reset the rams timing .... hmm ... 2gb of value rams vs 1gb of xms ... which one's better?

why do u get xms in the first place? tighter timing?

currently most value ram has pretty good overclocking headroom (for ddr2). i think better to get 2*1GB ram.

....cause of the led lights ... lolx .... i think my comp is only ddr1 . hehe . if i get value rams i still can oc my cpu right?

yep. just change the ratio when oc if you don't want to oc your ram. your A8N use ddr1.

thx . just 1 more thing yea . if i get the value rams , and after my xms rams are repaired . Can i mix both rams ?

possible. but xms won't run at top performance as it intended too, but it's depending on your XMS spec

just to make sure, have your really reset your bios? turn off main power, take battery out instead of reset via jumper

yea...i took out the small lil battery then only reset via jumper then put back the battery again =.=


Added on June 12, 2007, 9:59 amlast time i just sent the rams back to warranty and they repair say they just reseted the timing in the rams or something like that . haiz ... weird ..

can ar reset the timing??? rclxub.gif

what u beed to do is to turn off ur PC...
take out the battery..
and leave it for a while....

and plug it all back again....

ant that work for me....

if the same problem occur...
try to use other ram....
if it the same...maybe ur mobo...
and not to forget to try ur ram to other mobo....

bought a value ram ... once put inside and take out and fix the old ram ... works wonders ... but then when i use value ram and the xms .... got BSOD ... lolx...wasted Rm200

u meant the value ram just fix your xms problem? blink.gif i think your mobo not reseted properly.

enermax liberty 500w ... err ... .resetted edi ... when i used the value rams ... my date and time already 0.0.0 . Hey , is there any settings so that i can use my value rams and xms together?
