Maica is a type of plywood lamination
Chipboard is not plywood
so normally maica and chipboard wont relate each other

Ya meica. But currently choose blockboard.. Not meico brand.

block board is more solid in strength, but chipboard can do production faster. depends on what equipment the carpenter has to process it.

I would prefer blockboard as it is more 'waterproof' than chipboard.

blockboard all the wayyy, light, solid, much better water resistance compared to fragile chipboard.

but the meica chipboard offers textured melamine surfacing both side. Its actually just easier to work, faster, cheaper in the long run, compared to blockboard+laminate.

The RM119,000 kitchen cabinet belum nampak lagi...

kayu jati la, and i'm eagerly waiting for the update

but apparently after asking Mr Google, teak is more expensive than any variant of oak. So maybee...

But then again malaysia plywood is RM80, and the same thing exported outside to US/EU is USD100++ a piece. Same goes for Teak (burma/indon/malaysia where ever)

i dunno man, you're the pro in that field, i only see belian wood saja.

On the plywood, definitely not USD20 now eyh?

Teak ada plantation? Wow, and they claim 50Y min maturity, thus the asking price bla bla bla
But indon teak is... that is why i have a low perception of teak, when google, ang moh puji teak like no end.

u think teak means burmese teak meh. got many types ma. plantation is most common type.

some news snippets on teak

i didnt know angmoh puji? if puji then all the high end western furniture will be made from teak.. i see them made more from Africa and brazillian hardwood specis.

QUOTE
At present, Thailand and Indonesia are the biggest exporters of teak wood products in the region. Demand for teak has yet to pick up in the wood industry here, but Frim is optimistic of the potential, citing the species’ faster growth rate compared to other local hardwood species such as meranti and cengal as a plausible appeal.

Currently, it is estimated that there are about 2,500ha of teak plantations in the country, mainly in Sabah and Sarawak. Frim continues its ongoing endeavours in promoting teak through conferences, technology talk with industry players, as well as meetings with planters.

you are not alone. biggrin.gif i am not so fond of it too.
teak is overrated due to "burmese teak" price.

but there are always some old school teak lovers out there..
