For me the core of the problem is the coverup nothing is wrong this was by design attitude.

This is a bank, not a direct sales company.

All my colleagues including me get our salary credited through CIMB. The good thing is, no one reported an issue with fraud.

As said, I merely updated my password for additional peace of mind.

those who deactivated foreign transaction should be safe, those who on it sure kena with fraud transactions.

The debit card details at black market with online banking system able to create more fraud transactions. They can know your setting by login and then wallop all the balance in the account (Just guessing)

I am a bit confused, even if the password is compromised, the hacker would still need TAC right to make online transactions? So basically those that do not use credit/debit cards are safe?
*
NO. some merchants outside MALAYSIA don't require TAC

A compromise is a compromise.
this is like saying my front door got breached but luckily my bedroom door is sturdy.

It just comforts you but in reality you gotta change that front door.

for 4th condition, does it mean any characters u used in your ID and secure words cannot be used again in ur password?

for 5th condition, does it mean cannot use 3 same type of character (eg: abc, 123) consecutively? if it's break then ok (eg: a1b2c3)?

What is so difficult about creating password? Have been using a combination of alphanumeric and symbols since the dawn of password. Most password pattern is similar. P@ssW0rd01234 is invalid due to running number 01234.

|0wyatneT isn't that difficult.

A few of my family members has cimb debit card but never use it and some did not even acivate it. Should i ask them to check their account? Kind of worried here since it possibly involves info leak. se7en maxpudding

instead of changing cimb clicks password, shouldn't you be changing other online services/banking password if they are similar in both username and password as well? because human not good at remembering password so normally we have similar password throughout a lot of things
