Some other merchant that is using Grabpay non food --- CZipLee (stationery shop in bangsar) it is slightly upscale in price though,

Starbucks is by Berjaya group, they are partnering with Alibaba, and razer which is why alipay is available in most of their subsidiaries like SB, 7-11 I don't forsee sb adopting other payment system in the near future. Coffee bean accepts grab pay.

Citibank cash back card also gives 10% cashback for grab, I tried topping up grabpay, got 10% back. but there is a minimum spend with citi cards.
*
Wait, CzipLee accepts Grabpay?

Didn't see the Kajang branch accepting it though.

Btw, dradormien TS should make this a Grabpay discussion thread, anyone agrees? Grabpay seriously needs it's own discussion thread cuz it's gaining popularity lately and probably will rise even further in the near future with the tough competition.

Don’t think so, even don’t see any other e-wallet like FavePay, Boost. But they seem like offer Alipay?

WeChat pay is available
*
QUOTE(David83 @ Dec 14 2018, 06:25 PM)
I think they only support certain only: AliPay, WeChat Pay, RavePay
They put those logos at the cashier counter

Boost and FavePay definitely not there.
*
Boost is accepted at the KLIA2 outlet.

recently went to some small restaurant and the restaurant stick grabfood and grabpay, reach counter for payment then waiter said unable to use grabpay because system down doh.gif

This is more like excuses for me, is grab treating the merchant badly or delaying the payment?
*
Grabpay can't be "system down" because it only relies on QR code and an app instead of a terminal...

Can definitely say that the merchant is giving BS excuses.

i faced at least 2-3 merchant like this, of course i didn't ask further. While those chain stores or big stores has no problem in grabpay payment.

QUOTE(soonwai @ Apr 30 2019, 02:22 PM)
Yalor, their “system” don’t even do anything. We scan the barcode and pay. They just check on their phone that the payment has been received.
*
Gotta deal with it...e wallet is still a new thing here...

Probably gonna take a decade to get matured based on it's current stage here unless the government take a step further and do something.

List of merchants that accept Grabpay

Because this isn't a proper Grabpay discussion thread to begin with.

Anyone who's interested can open a proper Grabpay thread and request mod to close this thread... smile.gif

It seems that not many merchants accept GrabPay.  Coming month I can top up GrabPay using YOLO 10% - RM200 (CB RM20) and Citi CBPV 10% - RM150 (CB RM15). Not sure where I can spend the RM350 since I don't take Grab rides. I can't find a good list that merchants accept GrabPay.  tongue.gif  hmm.gif

Grabpay is actually quite common nowadays if you live in KL, though not as common as Boost and TnG but it's still acceptable.

Maybe get a bluetooth speaker or a cheap phone from All IT Hypermarket?

Does swiping up show your QR code to allow the merchant to scan? I check again and that function appears to be not available in the latest android grab for me
*
Yes, just like other e wallets...

Think you should wait for an update...

Has anyone had similar issues? I’m trying to reload to my postpaid which I know for Celcom, you can pay your postpaid bills through mobile reloads.
*
Nope, only U Mobile supports that feature.

For Digi, you can use PrestoPay ewallet. They support Digi postpaid payment.
*
Nah, it's fine, having four e wallets are already enough for me, not gonna register for another one...

Weird thing is that PrestoPay being in the same company with Boost, but Boost still doesn't support Digi bill payment...

Anyways OT already, guess I have to wait then, thanks btw. smile.gif

This was the error showed when I tried to pay at a store just now, anyone knows what's the issue? I had sufficient balance though.
