Just curious, anyone here booked Grab Premium before? Mind to share what kind of cars you managed to ride? Is it just the usual Accord and Camry?

Like what some have pointed out, we have new players in grabay (guardian, watson, sushi king, tesco, mydin, and giant to name a few). It will be awesome if someone would like to share whether they knew grabpay is enabled at all stores or a selected fews for these merchants. Thanks.

Went to KK Mart just now, they still don't accept Grabpay, ended up using Boost.

Does the grab food "paywave" terminal in the shop meant for grabpay payment?
*
You mean the orange terminal with the Grabfood sticker?

That is used mainly for taking Grabfood orders.

Hmm, try this method:
Upon making payment, don't ask "do you accept GrabPay?"

Straight away launch GrabPay app, tap Pay and swipe up to show the QR code/barcode to the cashier person once they scan your items.
Let him/her scan it, as if he or she is not aware of it, and see if transaction successful or not.
It's pretty straightforward.

Cuz the "Pay" feature on other eWallet payment are just similar.
The cashier person knows TnG eWallet and/or Boost are accepted by scanning the barcode, but not informed/aware that GrabPay are already available.
So better just show them the bar code and let them scan only.
Try don't ask if GrabPay accepted or not, unless they ask "what is this?".

If not successful, try again once.
Still unsuccessful? Then only try other payment method lo...

You do know that some POS systems require the cashier to select which QR code that the customer is using right?

So in conclusion, Maybank is just using the hype of Grabpay card to launch their rubbish credit card...

No different than TM with their hype crap marketing and huge disappointment in the end.

Grab thinks they can't compete here cuz there's Bigpay...

But they didn't know they're too dumb and underestimated the hype of Grabpay card cuz there's a lot of potential here, but oh well, what a good way to waste everyone's time and bring up the hype by launching a rubbish CC.

Glad I didn't get my hopes high cuz the fact is that you don't need to collab with a bank to launch that Grabpay card anyways, the moment when Maybank tease about it it's already some sketchy BS anyways.
