Not just me la, got several others also and we're all end users too. Same case with PS4. Sure the UK review had negative points but you need to see the negatives was relative compared to what tires?? All top level tires with super expensive prices (PS4S, Continental ECS, Pirelli Pz4, F1A3)! Nevermind bro, we're just suggesting based on what we know best, up to everyone to accept or not, we don't really care coz not our money nor our cars. π I have suggested T005 before too on certain cases so not that it's a bad tire, just not best value for money I think. If you had bad experience a before with certain Hankook models then yeah, I understand that might be hard to ignore too. Maybe in turn you can share to us what was the bad experience and with which model? That could be helpful for everyone so take note. Sharing is caring, that's what forums like this are for actually.
actually i went with T005a ultimately because its the only tire i really tested here,i know what to expect,i test drove the new camry that's factory fitted with 18 inch T005a,the steering feel is great but not hard at the same time, granted its only one dimensional data point as its impossible to drive another camry with different tire, but i like what i felt so far
value wise,i see some value with bridgestone being a first tier tire manufacturer, right up there with michelin pirelli, while hankook is a mid range manufacturer, but on the flipside V12e2 being UHP belong to a more expensive category,so i guess it evens out with Turanza touring tire more or less in term of value.
the real valuable feedback here for me is DS51 comment who was using PS4 but say cannot feel anything at lower speed compare to primacy, and that's the no.1 de facto UHP tire already,if so what can i expect from no.3 or 4 or 5 ranking UHP tire and i predominantly drive at legal speed
nuances is the keyword here,i'm not looking for ultimate grip as i'm not trying to break any lap records,i just miss the sharp turn in,very direct steering feel from michelin pp2,you can feel the grip even in low speed driving,it really spices up the driving experience without going bat shit crazy with speed.
honestly i can't remember the hankook model,it was 2011 i'm not very tire savvy at that time, but all my four relatively new hankook tire bloated after just one trip up and down cameron highland, and 3 tires totally lost pressure the next day,but yeah, should not generalize the whole hankook line up base on just one low end model but there's so many brand to choose from why want to risk it again
so that's my thought process, nothing personal, just being rational
