Boost in Finance section? I thought it will remain in /k because they don't want to move here? Anyway it's about time to have proper discussion here. smile.gif

How about other popular e-wallets like Fave, GrabPay and TnG e-wallet? Somebody should open too, I think currently Boost, Fave, GrabPay, TnG and WeChat Pay are the popular ones in Malaysia. hmm.gif

TnG related discussion.
We have two running threads at the sub-section of Credit Card/Debit Card/Loyalty Card.
I think no value of opening another separate for TnG e-wallet.

P/S: Just my 2 cents ...
*
Yeah, makes sense. I haven't been visiting that thread so if it has e-wallet discussion, then we do not need a duplicate topic.

Back to this topic, I haven't been using Boost for some time. Missing the 50% cash back deal. sad.gif

Yes, agreed to complain to Boost beramai-ramai and let Boost know about the "incompetence" of 99 Speedmart as a Boost merchant. Maybe Boost can arrange intensive training for them. rolleyes.gif

That's just pathetic lol, but I remember that Boost is strict about merchants imposing a minimal amount for their payment service, looks like someone from Boost taught them a lesson.

It's illegal to impose a minimal amount for every payment methods anyways, if they still dare to do that for cards, it means that BNM is not strict enough.

Same thing applies to card payments, might as well just not accept any payment methods other than cash.
*
Please multi-quote your posts. I have noticed this in few encounters.

Twice I encountered at The Chicken Rice shop at Nu Sentral Mall.
Upon payment , then only took out the payment terminal, power on, wait for it (like 5 minutes), login then pay. Luckily there was no customer queuing behind.

eWallet is supposed to make payment faster, but it has became the other way round.

Experience in Tesco was great though, scan it yourself!

Just had my dinner at TCRS Mid Valley, everything was very swift. I guess it really depends on the outlet. hmm.gif

Few months back Nando’s and Dubuyo don’t have them ready(need to charge the terminal),even at dome in. Klia
Nowadays the experience is much better as the terminal is always ready
*
Few months ago when I used in Dubuyo MV also quite pleasant. Luckily so far Boost merchants haven't didisappointed me yet. I don't think I will try at 99 Speedmart. laugh.gif

Nobody will do that. You either become the white mouse for us or refrain from doing anything that might be deemed as abuse.
*
Nobody? You sure? Many are doing that.. Reload via BP and transfer out from Boost.
Well abuse or not, it's up to individual's opinion, I will not judge on this. Some people think it's OK because it's part of Boost's feature while some can't accept such practice.

I use CC more than e-wallets in Malaysia because I'm always disappointed by the usual response from the merchants that "system down" and whatnot.

Still, these days I force myself to use Boost whenever available however I usually keep very low balance in Boost and only reload some on the spot before paying. tongue.gif

Good tips on the travel insurance, I used to purchase AIG via Lazada. Now I know I have another option whenever I travel for leisure.

Hi fruitie, is it possible if you can check for us who's the one that keeps abusing the report button here?

Sorry for bothering, but it's really annoying when someone just keeps abusing it probably because of own ego.
*
Sorry but reporter's details need to remain anonymous and if the person is abusing the report button we will take action against this person.

*

use cc caskback to topup boost, then use boost to get some shake rewards.

But not many cards give cash back directly to Boost top up, unless use the BP route. laugh.gif

I seldom use Boost but on Thursday I paid with Boost at Watsons Mid Valley. Did my usual shake and only got RM 1 but I just realised I got RM 8 MyTown cash back on 2nd Feb. laugh.gif

Free money and I won't rant but if they are giving free money randomly I will consider paying with Boost rather than my credit cards. laugh.gif

So Boost can get cash back not eligible for SC spin contest?
*
Maybe because it doesn't generate OTP. Anyhow, I never tried myself so for any clarification can refer to the user directly.
