I don't think the RM30 freebies is the main reason for e-tunai. I  think e-tunai is just what the government want to introduce to distribute free cash to certain category, instead of registering over and over again.

I think for some people like those in rural area, it kinda make sense that nobody will use it, whether its the merchants or users. In that situation, cash is unfortunately the best for them.
