banks can easily claw back as long as merchant has the documentation and record.

This just came in my statement .. note the date

edit: even if you have cancelled the card, bank will just send a letter saying that there was a transaction made xx date on this card which was only posted now and request u make payment. you can ignore but it will affect your credit record for sure until such time the interest has snowballed to a point that the bank start taking further action,

he had the same transaction date - so am guessing he generated the qr code twice. Payment is not effective immediately
