*
well maybe it was single transaction limit? cause me this morning just performed multiple transaction which total up more than 1k

well, i have contacted boost support, and then axiata ppl comes in....
the axiata representative mentioned that NGO can register both merchant and charity. anyway, on this part i cannot comment more as it needs the staff of the NGO that i'm helping to proceed by themselves.

my questions are more to technical part. how does the scanning of boost (either "i scan them" or "they scan me") works? how to install and implement this?

another thing is, how does the boost web payment works?
now boost allow payment to IWK through web, if i remember correctly is using "i scan them" method to pay.

how does all the payment process works?
for example: i spend in Pelita, i use boost to pay, they scan my boost QR then the amount went through and charges reflected in my boost ewallet. at this point, boost will charge certain amount for each transcation, then how the money  credited to Pelita?

how does iwk-boost page works? this is thru API.

1) Boost will provide a set of API documentation for merchant to integrate into their app/web portal. this is via webservice.
2) when the portal initiate the page, there are a set of information required to pass to Boost (eg date/time, merchant id, amount, account number, description, etc)... refer the documentation provided by Boost
3) then Boost respond with a string to merchant page to render the QR code on the screen. this string contain encrypted details of the mechant id, amount, date/time, etc etc
4) user scan the qr code from boost app.
5) the app will push certain information (userid, date/time, qr string, etc) to boost backend
6) backend Boost will do all the decryption of the info it received.
7) backend Boost will deduct the amount from the user's wallet. the trasaction is tied to the qr string which already consist of the merchant ID/details.
8) once deduction is successful after checking against the necessary policies/limit, backend boost will acknowledge back the merchant app/web portal of the payment status (success/fail)
9) merchant then record the payment according to account number, payment amount, date/time, etc.
10) backend Boost will perform settlement based on the transactions captured by the merchant (via merchant ID). since currently no MDR fee imposed, merchant gets 100% of the payment amount (deducted from user's wallet) into their bank account (recorded during merchant onboarding process).

this should be the rough flow, but there still will have lot of more detailed stuff within

Max amount to cash-out is RM1498, but it will cause your Boost Balance = RM0.00, not really safe for long-term users.
Why not using other CC such as SC JOP/Liverpool MC, HLB Wise to top up RM3xx, then cash-out RM1497 as the charge is already fixed at RM2.
*
what we can do is withdraw then topup certain amount back? just wonder how Boost would see us as sweat.gif

Just want to survey, do any of you do the transfer out via Boost to avoid credit card interest?

For example:

> Ayam spend 4k using my C/C
> If ayam didnt pay, ayam will be charged 1.25% of that amount (1.25% / RM4000 = RM50 interest ) (Cincai kira la this one)
But, if ayam use boost,
> RM2 charge per RM1498
> Ayam topup using that C/C and pay 1498x3 to this CC
> 3 x Withdraw = 3 x RM2 = RM6

RM6 charge vs RM50 interest
So basically what i'm saying is, ayam only pay RM6 each month until death no need to pay for that 4k.

Do any of you do this?

If your source fund to your Boost comes from credit card, that amount is an outstanding appear in your credit card no need to pay back to the respective bank? hmm.gif

Ayam use the money that i withdraw from boost.

So the 4k initial spend via CC is actually hanging

Ayam only pay RM6 every month.

Understand my point?

Just want to survey do any of you do this.

or got any more advanced technique other than this

What you meant by hanging?
Once posted, need to clear by payment due date right?

If you're planning to circulate the money from CC to Boost and the back to CC, you're too late for the games.
People has been doing it since the dawn days of Boost.

hahahaha yes that's my point. "circulate the money from CC to Boost and the back to CC"  biggrin.gif
People are already doing it since beginning? Aiyoo ayam missed out lah. Just recently realized lol

QUOTE(CardNoob @ Aug 16 2019, 07:02 PM)
Yes; a lot of people have been reaping a lot of cash back and rewards points from various credit cards from the various banks.
Banks have been scaled back or excluded Boost/other e-wallets from their cash back/reward system.
A more recent example will be MBB2 AMEX/FCB VS, SC JOP and HSBC VS
*
mainly this kind of way is just making a circulation of money. be careful as it will put a load to your credit limit.
but a lot of people were doing so once they start to use boost and BP.
the concept is quite easy..... making money circulation and earn credit card reward in the same time.
another thing is that, for credit card you have interest free period which allow you to take the money for some interest rewarding to earn some short term interest.
you could also say it as cash advance without interest charge (except withdrwal fee).
and if you good in short term investment, you even could take the money doing short term investment and earn more (of course only if you so good in investment, as risk of losing were still there)
