1. For daily is great. Don't expect a soft plush ride. It's a sports car after all. But it has very usable trunk space, and back seat can be used to put things too. Rear seats fold down for that occasional IKEA moments.

2. Depends very much on how you drive. Most people get about ~300-350km per tank. Some claim of getting 400-500km per tank, but that's few and far in between. Personally I get about 270-300km due to me revving the car all the time.

3. Usual maintenance not expensive. Engine oil 5.7L, change every 10000km if you drive sedately. I usually change at 5000km mark due to the way I drive, or at most 7000km-ish range. The things to watch out for though, is for engine oil leaks which is common. Get someone to check for error codes in the car. And check for any telltale signs of prior accidents. Also, there is also a recent recall for the valve springs which may need to be replaced with the older year models which is within your budget. Not sure how much that will cost, as that recall is pretty new. If you get a local unit then it should be covered by Toyota / MotorImage for free. For the recon cars we're not sure yet what is the outcome.

4. Depends on what spare parts. Car spare parts are never cheap, and it's a little more pricey with the 86 because it's not a common car.

As for fun, since when is CVT fun to drive? haha.
The 86 is an extremely fun car to drive to be honest, especially if you like to drive through the back roads. It's a very forgiving car to drive. The limits are low, but it lets you know when you're approaching it.

Power is adequate, though not a lot. Many new turbocharged cars are faster, but that's part of the fun of driving it. You get to row through the gears all the time.
