This homeless man has been seen occasionally hanging around the
Kentucky Chicken at the corner of Jalan 21/19,Sea Park, PJ.

He's in his 70s.

Some of the customers there will buy him a meal there
every now and then.

He said he used to stay at his friend's house, but has
since been kicked out by the landlord.

I offered to help him try applying for welfare aid, but he
seems reluctant to give his IC details.

He used to hang around there fairly often, but less
frequently since they renovated the place a few months ago.

I've told the Salvation Army about him, but without a contact
address or phone number, it's going to be difficult for them to
catch sight of him.

If anyone of you happen to be there, maybe you can
see what you can do for him.

He said his name is Cheah Chin Meng.

go wash dishes also can survive, I won't help him.

He's in his 70s, as I said.

He stands and walks shakily with a hunch.

Wait till your time comes. We'll see if anyone helps you then.

He didn't "refuse to go to a social welfare home" .

I offered to help him try applying for the "Bantuan Orang Tua"
welfare aid of RM300 a month.

For some reason, I don't know why, he was hesitant to let
me have his IC.

Whatever his past, we don't bother, nor does it make
a difference now.

He is disadvantaged, with no income, old and alone in
this world.

Nobody knows - one day we may be like that, however
well off you may be now.

Lots of people go bankrupt, lose jobs, businesses fail
over the years.

If you can help him, good. If not, there is nothing more to say.

Will have to give up on this case.

I haven't seen the man for several weeks.

The Salvation Army also told me that they could not
find him after going to the Kentucky several times.

If he had given me some friend's number, at least
could contact him.

I don't think he's coming back there.
