a lot of team in hsbc has big problem. the manager / assistant manager is not doing their work. and letting all the blame to their staff.
most managers and assistant manager stay late to collect overtime, while their staff do all the work for them.
processing work is really deadly if you work in a team where there is no holidays whatsoever. the volume is high and there is no support whatsoever either from the back-up team in Manila. Manila team has always got holidays during major holiday breaks and emergency typhoon.
while the KL team will have no support when we malaysians have our major holidays. The manila team will never support us, and the Malaysian managers and assistant managers just keep quite without doing nothing. Manila has always been a favourite child in Hsbc. I dont know why, probably their cable is much stronger or they do the resignation scaring tactic.

Worst company to work with. Managers are always playing. So much politics. Your performance depends on manager. Shift is the worst. Somemore need to do volume. Low pay compared to other countries. This lower purchasing power for malaysian.
If you enter HDPM, all depends on the team & managers. I know a person have been here just 1 year got promoted to AM. And another person still level 8 for 10 years. Managers like to talk big, mostly like to play around and talk loudly. What a bunch of idiot. I think ive made a mistake of choosing this company. Sucks to the core. Working life is like a factory. Mundane low level repetition task that has high volume. Stay away from GC Hk Settlement. Fast increment, most bonuses. Giving the company (hsbc as a whole) the most money. But lot of work.

Human resource department have frozen any new comers on the month of December. New comers will start to join on January next year. If you want to be a robot a data processing centre with office politics is good for you. If not, please stay far away from here as it is not worth the effort. I feel under appreciated working here. Worst place to work. Flipping burgers have better joy than here.

Got a friend here if you do OT everyday for 1 hour can get $1000 and pay off your Honda City. But depands on what team you're in. I think. Max OT is 3 hours. If you can bear to do 3 hours OT everyday for a month, then can pay monthly payment for Honda CRV. OT is optional in my team at least. Max annual leave is 38 days for all levels if you have been working here for 4 years and above. I've been working here since the the 1980s.

Worst salary increment in the world. 2.5% and a bonus of 1 month salary. Reason: reach the ceiling salary for that particular level
Need to find job elsewhere in a different field far away from data processing.

QUOTE(Tealifos @ May 3 2022, 09:46 AM) You need to work 7.5 hours. 7.5 hours should be your productive hours. 1.5 hours is your break time (non-productice) e.g. toilet break, lunch, prayer break, team huddle etc

QUOTE(nokia@3310 @ Apr 23 2022, 05:26 PM) Hi All Want to tumpang this thread ask about the HSBC Global Transformation Center. It's under HPDM. Anyone been working here ? Can advise me the working environment and benefits ? Hsbc has invest a lot in technology thus it will contribute in the way we work. The company promotes for a work life balance. Benefits such as double pay if working during public holiday. Long maternity leave (i think 4 months), 10 days paternity leave. Company pays a certain amount for employee only (not for spouse) for maternity (either normal delivery or Caesarean. Yearly increment base, etc.
