o......ok. SLI gaming with less than an hour battery life anyone?

* one day, a mobile gamer name JJ wanna play Crysis on its SLI notebook in the LRT. he start the game, then the shooting comes, with great fps(frames per second), and great image quality. he walk into the jungle, suddenly he saw some stupid korean soldiers standing and talking to each other, while he wanna take out his mod-riffle, the korean heard something, and they know he was there, they run to him, the moment intensified, with super human capability, JJ shoot the soldier like chow-yun-fatt and dodge bullet like Neo. in the middle of the firing, the game stops and a message from windows pop out "you are running low in power" JJ was , and #@$@$#$$%$%@.

I dont see ur point there. At least, if one's mobile system with SLi, the moment he unplugged the power cable, he still left with an hour tops to continue playing his game. How about desktop then? Cant it left on for even 30 seconds after getting unplugged ? make it 5 secs or 2 secs. If u can leave ur desktop on the power cable, so does the notebook. The only difference is the mobility feature, some ppl travel a lot accross regions and countries. the advantage of this SLi notebook is they can bring their powerful system with them. Even at LAN party, SLi notebook will be consider light enuf to carry along in a backpack or such. Try to think globally, not just traditionally will ya. And be open-minded please, not such typical ignorat-selfish kind of geek ok.

*JJ is a big fan of Arnold. with the big arms of JJ, it is easy for him to carry his own SLI mobile notebook. and by learning the previous lesson of his Crysis game, he decide to get 4-5 packs of notebook battery. so, his notebook bag will be big and heavy. thnx to the extra battery and the heavy SLI notebook. give a gamer freak to carry that bag, he will wish he had more muscle like JJ.

JJ is a true dumb to get 4 packs of notebook battery. and why would JJ on the LRT if he owns an SLI notebook? Why wouldnt JJ enjoying his SLi notebook at the back of his Merc during traffic jam on the way to his meeting? or why wouldnt JJ enjoying his SLi notebook while he's having 2-weeks conference @ Europe or Aussie. He probably miss his powerful desktop rig at home but yeah at least he has his SLi notebook with him to finish some levels on STALKER or Crysis.

dude, get a life. and u suck at story-telling. What a bias-n-bad story u have. Try again. U can be as ignorant as u want, but that doesnt stop technology from flowing right in front of ur eyes. U can close ur eyes and tell ppl u dont see it, but u know that is not the truth. Im very sorry if i had offended u or sumthing. I'll say its good that u know the disadvantage, too bad ur r not open enuf to see advantages.

he is poor, use all his savings to get the SLI notebook, $7k+++++++i suppose. so he only take LRT to school, he still studying in kolej. his mum scold him when he play game at home, that is why he play game outside.
*i also dunno why he wanna spend 7k++++on that piece of "dumbell". 7k can get me 2x8800GTX, 4G RAM, with C2Q 6700. wanna lan party i also got a van to fetch my stuff over there.

jokes aside, back to the topic. it seems that SLI is a must for intel if they wanna stay competitive. there wouldnt be any more crossfire board for intel in 2-3 years time, so, intel's only option is nvidia. this site has it all. it wouldnt be a surprise if intel get SLI license.

Ok, that is much better reason why then. Good for him. Anyways, u pretty much have mentioned it all.

JJ should buy new pc everytime on vacation instead of carrying along notebook....
