my former secondary school is unimap's "sekolah angkat"

unimap's 1st batch student,30 of them(if i'm not mistaken) got work in intel malaysia. but lots of them are offered to many big companies as their students are exposed with lots of real machine that make u a no problem when u got work somewhere, that makes companies really confident u can handle their machine properly if they hired u(i say it on engineering as this u famous for its engineering course)

they got many international partnership with overseas u such ICSZ(Inter-Community School Zurich), and their staff one of the most active around malaysia. my friends from there told me, if students vs staff in football match, there's too little chance they can win. but in the bright side, u can involve in their many event and can get some experience that giv u plus point on applying jobs in future.

and it of course.. perlis is somewhat boring.. is from kl, need some time to receive the peace environment here.. and though, like to advise, don't think on do lots of shopping here.. no hypermarket or mall beside small Kayangan Square that have The Store.. u can go Alor Star, with bus around RM15 cost go-and-back..
the price range for food is very low.. so u can save money here..

still any chinese got new course international business?
i wan to know how many chinese will be there >.<
i dunno wan go or not making decision now...

for sure there will be some chinese whatever course you take , just need to worry that how many chinese gal in your course ..
i join unimap last year i take mechanical eng . my course just got 3 chinese gal haha..

i already know 1 gal same wif me take tis course at UniMAP.

I just got offered to study at unimap for kejuruteraan perhubungan.. And I don't really know much about this course. has it sth to do with IT?
I didn't even know that Perlis has a U in the first place. Feel so disappointed that I got chosen here since I'm from Selangor. It will be a long and far journey. I'm still undecided about going or not. Is there many chinese girls there? I don't wanna be the only one. how is the environment there? Cos as far as I can see in the unimap official webpage, all the buildings look small ..

haha. indeed you got a long journey to perlis .
well perlis is very peaceful and what you can do here is eat eat eat eat and eat .
no mc.D just got kfc ..but the seafood quite cheap ...
haha don't expect to see skyscraper here coz there are none . what you can see in the town center is a old kwsp building where our library located .
haha.. don't want to be the only one ?? haha this i can't help but for sure there will be some chinese gal around .
can't decided either want to go or not , just go there for a month and make up your mind there. you never been there you never know .
who's know you going to like it there or what..

Added on June 20, 2009, 2:56 pmhaha . that is what i get also when i told my friends that i got unimap.. dame most of them don't even know perlis have a university..
unimap will have it's own campus soon . don't know how soon it will come . but it is said that next year the mechatronic school facilities will be ready ..
just come here for a month and see what happen . don't need to worry too much ....

haha.. no mcd.. just got pizzahut and kfc . haha
don't expect hypermarket . haha
shopping mall just got tiny aneka and tiny the stor...
if you get to stay at kg.wai(kuala perlis) , then don't worry about the food.. here got plenty and plenty of choices ,
and you can go in and out as you like..when you want to come bak is you choice . if in the middle of the night like 3 in the morning , you feel hungry and want to get something to eat , just go to kuala perlis or kangar to get your food... see if you can do that in other local u ...

i'm not saying that unimap is good and what and what .
what i'm trying to tell you that if you have other better choice just stick to it .
if you don't this will to the trick, life is simple + a bit boring over here ...
is not like other u you don't have nice place to hang out here what you have here is paddy .. grass.. tree.. and mango haha..
and one of the best things about local U is that you can hardly fail if you put some effort in your study .

Entertainment such as mall is not a necessary, I have many fun with my uni friends and study shd come 1st right?? haha...don't always think of playing la, u will probably be too busy to study til u think u don't hv enough time

unimap chinese forum . don't know still active or not .

Starting from my batch last year (08/09), the chinese who enter UniMAP to study is much more than i expected. So i believe for the next few years onward the number of chinese will continue to increase....even a few of my relative are from UniMAP and now working in good company. For all those chinese who get the UniMAP offer don't worry, I strongly believe that for every course, we (future senior ) will help u all and try our best to provide all the information u need
