Bro, your situation same as me. Let's share info together. I am eyeing on the Viewsonic XG2402 also but it is without Gsync.
For AOC G2460PG like been around since year 2014. I think I saw them in Lingloong & Etech PC monitor thread. Maybe you can explore it with them?
I think you can look on the Predator XB252Q (TN panel, 240Hz, Gsync) that i come across on yesterday. I think around RM1.8K. Not sure this brand got 24", 144Hz with Gsync or not.]
I think Predator XB241H also have similar price at 144hz, overclock to 160Hz
For the AOC G2460PG I had to search at pcpartpicker or any reviews that showcased the monitor without crossfire icon. Still, I am unsure whether to get it or not. Etech pc do have stock but lingloong need to order. Besides paying RM1695 for entry level gsync monitor makes me cringe. My friends are against getting acer due to their experiences with customer service so I kept that on hold.

I don't feel any difference with Sync technologies.
I've used AMD card on Nvidia monitor and vice versa, nope didn't make a difference to me.
I have a gtx 1070. I expect most games will run about 70-120 ish FPS so any monitor regardless of sync will be fine correct?

It is ok. Open discussion is good for knowledge.
Hey guys, give me a hand to pick your recommended monitors from the list that I have made on 1st page. But I think the 3 below are having higher chance.
1. AOC G2460PF
2. BenQ XL2411P
3. Viewsonic XG2402
I would pick the viewsonic. Seems that its the best among those monitors.

I think you've missed the point entirely.
You see, IPS panels are one thing but color accuracy is never a requirement for gaming.
And if you've bought an IPS screen......... good, that doesn't mean it's accurate either, many people assume IPS = accurate, it's not. You have to calibrate it, it has supposedly wider color gamut that doesn't make it accurate.
As for the TN part - have you tried the good ones? If you come from low-grade VA / TN, certainly there will be difference but that's not to say all TN / VA are bad. Even IPS have low-grade ones.
I can tell you, I'm an IPS person for ages, always have been insisting IPS for my screen as I use it for my work but last year when I got the Alienware AW2518H - totally floored me, that's not the TN panel I know.
However new generation TN panels are really nice, nowadays I game with TN panel - works great, can't tell the difference anyway, not unless I view it side by side. I use VA panels for video work before, no issue. Same goes to my HTPC 4K screen, VA panel.
Maybe I should get that alienware instead. Looked very nice. The pricing for freesync version is also decent.
