From what l hv read.. it ( lowering springs) was not designed for it so logically it will shorten a standard dampers life
Thru experience only myvi shox leaked when l did tat - wife’s jazz is still fine at 70kkm albeit feel it’s softer..
My own fc(civic) has adjustables so cant really compare
