May consider Ubiquiti litebeam solution to extend your Ethernet connection to as far as 12km

- Nice. You are using your own router or tm already give you a good one?
- Nice. You are using your own router or tm already give you a good one?
also waiting for my business unifi to be turbo'ed. (50mbps --> 500mbps)
but then, i rather have cheaper unifi bills than super fast speed. Currently paying about RM272 all in for 50mbps unifi biz advance (no hypptv).  It is just too expensive already to start with. (compared to home package or Maxis/Time packages) cry.gif
Maybe once i get the turbo, will use it for 1-2 months and then downgrade to 100mbps biz lite package.
BTW, guys, what is most affordable, cheap AND reliable router i can get for below RM300? (for 300-500mbps goal). To be used in a double storey shop lot.  Possible to get? biggrin.gif  blush.gif  tongue.gif
Currently im using tplink WR841HP (Max 300Mbps) only for my current 50mbps biz unifi package. I love the long range high power antenna of this WR841HP. But not sure how this router will work with 500mbps once I got turbo'ed.
Looks like i have to upgrade one way or another. (or simply downgrade to 100mbps, :sigh:)

im currently using the tm supplied 850L as main router.

and another tm supplied silver router as AP at different location.

anyone know that is TM providing any other package other than the 100mbps RM129 ones?

im currently on 300 mbps RM139, want to see if TM will come out new internet package with very competitive price and higher speed.

if cheap might thinking of upgrading to 500 / 800 mbps

those turbo packages, I doubt TM will release it any cheaper than the indicated base prices (before minus any perpetual discount) that turboed customers are getting now..
800 Mbps = RM329
500 Mbps = RM229
300 Mbps = RM179

Your 300Mbps@RM139, it will revert to RM179 after 2 years right? (as per the original 30Mbps@RM139 terms)

As for non turbo, there was talk about 50Mbps@RM99 but that have yet to be announced officially

Yeah that was my taught too

But it might be possible for tm to bring high speed Internet with cheap price since they are under the pressure from gobind

If not for gobind we won't be getting the turbo upgrade at the first place.

So I think gobind will pressure tm to roll out cheap gigabit Internet. Something like Singapore gigabit package in 2 years time

the reviewer didn't mention how much wifi speed he is getting on ac68 wifi adapter...or maybe i missed out ?

ac68 specs on 5Ghz theoretically should be able to reach 1300Mbps right ?
*
that is theoratically. in pratical connection speed will be halved. and so does your speed test will halved.

say 1300mbps == 866 mbps, or 866mbps === 433mbps.

so for speed test 500mbps. depending on your connection speed. speed test result will also fluctuate.

unless you connect your wifi adapter next to the router then maybe can get full speed.

then there is no point using wifi adapter for very close range to router just use cat6 lan cable easier. lol.

the whole point of wifi is mobility and where lan cable cant reach your pc.

but by reality, most of us use wifi adapter because we cant use lan cable. but for wifi 5ghz. dont expect too much where the location of your wifi adapter from the router greatly impact the speed result.

I saw few unit selling in carousel, if this tm technician not attending my case, i will buy a unit of btu @carosell to test.
*
you cant just buy your own BTU.

TM's unifi BTU, need special coding onto the BTU itself only will work.

unless you know the coding of TM's unifi fiber . then you can get your own BTU. otherwise. just get TM to change it for you.

guys, my current 50mbps upgraded to turbo 500, since contract dah habis, can recommend a bit which othe telco can offer reliable fibre like unifi?
*
you want reliable fiber . TM unifi is your best choice. since maxis also using TM fiber backbone.

so i would say TM is more reliable then others. maxis alot customer complaint their reliability issue. alot disconnection issues. slow response to issues.
