hey guys, when I tried to changed the DNS of the IPv4 to Google DNS on the the default unifi TPLINK C1200, it seems to be buggy such as website cannot load, very slow response and boot time takes a long time to start up. Any one facing this issue?

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Jan 21 2019, 08:44 AM) That router is very problematic. I suggest changing router. You can see the 1st page, 1st post, green text, where I mentioned about the TP-Link AC1200 having lots of issues. its very buggy. Is it advisable that I flash it to Open WRT? or i just buy the XIAOMI MI R3P?

QUOTE(cenkudu @ Jan 22 2019, 11:11 AM) I have changed my router to TP-Link Archer C9. modem is Huawei HG8240W. Speed test direct to the router 200 mbps download and 100 mbps upload. Should I start making noise with Unifi? But have yet to change the cable to CAT6 cable. Turbo speed supposed 500 mbps Is the Lan cable provide from Tplink CAT6?

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Jan 22 2019, 05:06 PM) Try to change to Cat 6 first, and see if that makes a difference. The cable provided could be the issue. I suggest just getting a new router. No point buying the Xiaomi Mi R3P. It does not support VLAN tagging which is required for Unifi. You can still use it but you will need a smart switch. See here: https://www.blacktubi.com/guide/make-any-ro...-work-on-unifi/Thank you for your suggestion. Can you recommend me an Asus router? Budget around RM500. Currently running at 300mbps

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Jan 22 2019, 08:11 PM) Asus? For RM500, you can get the Asus RT-AC1300UHP. You might need top up a little. It needs to be Asus and nothing else? Tplink is also okay. Currently I have my old Tplink WDR4300 to replace that crappy Tplink C1200. What is your choice if you were in my position?

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Jan 22 2019, 10:38 PM) Looks very impressive but how is it different from the C7 except for the wider range and etc. Also are there any homeplug which can transmit 300mbps ? My current tplink AV500 only can reach 50mbps
