Not all, some are still getting 800Mbps.

Of course, TM did do some home work also. If that area has time and TM still don't give RM 199 for 800 Mbps ?

Hmm. These are landed areas, not high rise and will not get TIME.

A few users have posted before about this 500M instead of 800M. It may be due to the package price you are currently paying. Or they say its due to infra.

Impossible is infra limitation

Just researched, technically VDSL can reach 300 Mbps

Don't waste your time.

Based on TM past performance with ADSL2+ (which technically supports up to 24Mbps downstream), TM only ever offers 8Mbps max (except those 'underground' uncapped account  rolleyes.gif  )

So, what make you think TM will implement 300Mbps when the default vdsl2 router given by TM only support VDSL profile 35A only?

They already rectify the issue my imposing the speed cap on teh subscribed speed instead of DSLAM cap

They just don't bother to further into RnD into delivering higher speed via VDSL at least up to 100 Mbps

When did you verify this? As I chatted with a CS few days ago to find out exact contract ending date and fella still insisted that must give at least 1 month notice..
Apologies, What is this "bengkak"?  sweat.gif
Interesting.. Just read the item 12 of their FAQ..

actually 100Mbps is also overkilled for me. Thinks 30Mbps will be more than enough.

for those of you who are on 800Mbps, how do you utilise the bandwidth?
*
it will be very helpful if you always use Android Studio or tools that always requires update of SDK, repositories and etc

QUOTE(Isky @ Nov 24 2018, 01:24 PM)
Unfortunately, I rarely get anything other than 42 in Ampang. Been resetting for the past 10 minutes with no luck. Called 100, the reps there are equally clueless. Despite telling her that my connection to local server was fine, but connection to certain international servers were horrible, and that there was something wrong with the international routing, she still asked me to do the standard "switch off router and restart", and asked me the speedtest to the local TM server. And they always give the BS statement about charging you RM50 is they have to come to my house (personally, i think they do that to dissuade people from complaining). Anyway, I've lodged a complaint and got my report #. If they still give me grief, I'll escalate this up to MCMC.

At least I know why my speeds have been mixed, and why some instagram / twitter pictures / videos have been so slow to load while others are relatively OK.

I am facing the same issue as well. Seriously I believe the one in customer service have no technical knowledge and they only know how to read from scripts . They will not understand what 7 u talking if you are being too technical. The worst part is they are acting smart
