QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Nov 18 2018, 05:20 PM) Are your friends and you using TM own router? If you are, maybe the DNS have been hard coded into the router. All of us that are using own routers and own DNS probably is okay. It's over now, anyway, I'm not sure about what my friends are using nor did they change dns, but I'm using my own router. I did tried changing DNS b4 looking up here for an idea on what's going on. On that day : 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 = ~200ms 1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1 = ~17ms Cloudflare's one looks promising provided that the ping is nice but it showed no difference at all. The final solution for me on that day is to use a Malaysia VPN (since I don't want to mess with login security checks)

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Nov 20 2018, 09:47 AM) Cloudflare DNS is good, but I am not using it as there are lots of websites that are inaccessible if you use it Yes, I did realize that too, quite a number websites cannot open But I didn't use it b4, I just take it up to compare against google's on that day, I have all devices on Google's dns QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Nov 20 2018, 09:47 AM) and it is not Cloudflare’s issue as most of these websites are using 1.1.1.1 for their internal access, so it messes things up if you are using that DNS. Err I don't think that's true...? (but I might be wrong) Could you elaborate on this?

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Nov 20 2018, 04:42 PM) See here: https://blog.cloudflare.com/fixing-reachabi...1-1-1-globally/Basically, 1.1.1.1 as an address is used for internal purposes before Cloudflare claimed it, if you can understand the article, and this creates many issues which is still occurring now as some websites and organisations, especially ISPs, are still using it for their own purposes. Oh... sorry I misunderstood your reply, I thought you were saying that website servers are using the 1.1.1.1 cloudflare dns internally. Thanks for the sharing, never use 1.1.1.1 b4 thus not really know about it
