unifi guys came, tests... tplink ac1200 can do 800-820mbps - with his laptop.

i think i couldnt get becos the device i used rated giga maxed out at 650.

i have no other device with gigaport for LAN.

the guys were nice, change the router to dlink dir842 (he took back the tplink) - this one also did 820, wifi a bit stronger.

so... when somebody says he/she can't get 800mbps LAN, first question gotta be "what device"!
btw, do u know if this dir842 can serve as repeater or AP?

just thinking longer term how to make use of this dlink 842 and my asus 1300uhp.

This is no free call, all call are chargeable, however now how often ppl use house phone to call? Now all mobile is unlimited call already.

I paid RM210 monthly for useless tvpack + 500mbps after turbo + free fixed line (RM20 as requested by my Mother)

You confirm and consistent getting 7xx mbps on old cable and consistent getting below 700 mbps on dintek cable?

I choosed shneider brand over dintek as 23awg vs 24 awg. Cat 6 std is 23 awg. Anyway i need 23 awg for my poe system. I read somewhere cat6a perform superb on poe system but pricing little higher and harder to find in local shop.

Got turbo-ed to 300mbps on 24-Nov (sat), straight away I log on to live chat to complaint about my old BTU (Huawei HG850a) not supporting the new speed. The CS confirmed the BTU is not on the supported device list, file a case

TM Technician came knocked on my door next day on a Sunday 8:20am!!! Replace the BTU as well as a new  DIR-842 router.

Now I am 300mbps happy.

Ok... Thx for the info. I just quite frustrated coz they send me email say will upgrade before year end but now they insist will upgrade me next year. And my friends all got their turbo already even though they are still under contract... And I pay more than them per month... Really sad...

I'm paying rm190 per month too. Without std20. How to reduce the price? The most frustrating thing is the hpptv. I didn't even use it at all yet paying every month.

If you haven't tested with ethernet, do that.

Wifi depends on a lot of things (including quality of your device). My Xiaomi can't get over 100, but my old Samsung and new Huawei can. Depends what wifi chipset they use.

I'd like to check if there's options for my case here. I have been paying TM MYR200+ every month without fail for that now-vintage 50 Mbps line.

It pains me to see newbies paying MYR129 for a faster speed of 100 Mbps, when I'm shafted. The promised Turbo is still no date.
