For me Netflix source is never a problem, even on 30mbps, I'm more concern on my china streaming source and those offer sports streaming ahem source coz they never run smooth. I remember back in my maxis 10mbps old days, it used to be more stable.
It become more instable as of early this year (before the turbo era)
I believe due to more users having larger bandwidth due to the expansion to 100mbps package early this year/late last year, overseas connection seems to be slower. I remember back those days on Unifi 10mbps also rock solid those china server stream haha. Hence why now i just download chinese show or just stick to netflix.

I see, I might get an asus too.
I'm already looking for a new one right now. I just wanted confirmation from DIR-850L turbo'ed users before I blindly buy a new one and turns out the problem is on unifi's end.
But damn. these router companies, advertising their 'gigabit' routers that can't even achieve 800mbps on
wired connection

.
Cause the gigabit is only on the 4 port switch, the WAN max DL and UL is not related to the port but more to the processor and other chipset related. I think my Archer C7 v2 previously also cant go beyond 100mbps Upload.

Yesterday went to LYP, saw quite a number of stock there. Ranging from RM6xx till RM7xx...
The speed achieved by RT-AC86U (800+ mbps), is via wifi or LAN?
LAN. Wifi I believe on 5ghz it jumps between 400mbps to 500mbps depending on device, distance to router and etc.
Not sure how to hit the max speed as online material mention the 5Ghz actually can hit up to 2000+mbps. Most probably need to utilize all 4 bands or something
