I did try to complain to TM Live Chat about needing to pay RM219 (before Service Tax) instead of RM199 (like maybe around 50% of the ppl here paying for?) for Turbo 800mbps

Then they actually ask me for a Account Number to refer haha.

Sadly I dont have an actual account number to continue escalate.

Since you're already using cat7, it must not be the cable then. How long you've been turboed for?

I'm on 800mbps plan, max upload speed i'm getting.. 203-205mbps.
I was thinking of calling unifi, but I'm really not in the mood to hear their bs excuses now.

Turbo 800mbps plan Upload Speed is 200mbps.

Unless you typo Upload with Download?

The first time I got upgraded from 50mbps to 100mbps, I couldn't get past 90Mbps on speed test. Then I found out that my cable was Cat5.. I switched to Cat5e cable and I managed to get full speed at 106mbps. I bought new cat6 cable just for the turbo upgrade.

have u upgraded your router already? any difference?
Yep I know my upload speed is fine, but I can't get past 302Mbps download speed on speed test on cat6 wired.
*
LOL then it should be router issue already.

My Old TP Link Archer C7 V2 cannot go beyond 400mbps download as well. Need to upgrade to Asus RT86U and finally can hit 800+ mbps download.

other than speed test, any difference on streaming video to those turboed users? I'm asking coz thinking to switch to maxis fibre 30mbps coz even though I'm on 30mbps(unifi) now the streaming has been laggy whole year.
*
Depends on your "stream"source.

For Netflix once I get turbo it is much more stable now (you dont see the resolution downgrade from 4k down to 1080p or 720p due to bandwidth) happening much now. (more like i think it never happen already)

Youtube also more stable now.

But it is also kinda related to the fact I upgraded my device so those what beamforming, MU-MIMO and crap technology running together.

"ahem" source is still flip flopping as usual. But oh well you know.

For me Netflix source is never a problem, even on 30mbps, I'm more concern on my china streaming source and those offer sports streaming ahem source coz they never run smooth. I remember back in my maxis 10mbps old days, it used to be more stable.
*
It become more instable as of early this year (before the turbo era)

I believe due to more users having larger bandwidth due to the expansion to 100mbps package early this year/late last year, overseas connection seems to be slower. I remember back those days on Unifi 10mbps also rock solid those china server stream haha. Hence why now i just download chinese show or just stick to netflix.

I see, I might get an asus too.
I'm already looking for a new one right now. I just wanted confirmation from DIR-850L turbo'ed users before I blindly buy a new one and turns out the problem is on unifi's end.
But damn. these router companies, advertising their 'gigabit' routers that can't even achieve 800mbps on wired connection puke.gif .
*
Cause the gigabit is only on the 4 port switch, the WAN max DL and UL is not related to the port but more to the processor and other chipset related. I think my Archer C7 v2 previously also cant go beyond 100mbps Upload.

Yesterday went to LYP, saw quite a number of stock there. Ranging from RM6xx till RM7xx...
The speed achieved by RT-AC86U (800+ mbps), is via wifi or LAN?
*
LAN. Wifi I believe on 5ghz it jumps between 400mbps to 500mbps depending on device, distance to router and etc.

Not sure how to hit the max speed as online material mention the 5Ghz actually can hit up to 2000+mbps. Most probably need to utilize all 4 bands or something
