Hi guys I need a little help here, I was thinking of upgrading phone to high performance/budget gaming phone like Asus Zenfone 5Z however, I did some research that this particular phone has a very bad battery life e.g batter drains 10-20% the next day after 8 hrs (wifi off + background off) or battery drains very fast like 1-3% in 3 mins. I also review on this phone for very poor battery backup. How true is this?

I'm owning one now 6GB + 128GB and I would say I definitely love it.

Battery wise i can say it's still fine in my opinion. I used it daily with google maps running when i'm driving, whatsapp, instagram, and some browsing leaving me with around 30-35% of battery at the end of the day.

Have u tried with heavy gaming like pubg? Just to test on the battery drainage.

I'm not a hardcore gamer so didnt install PUBG but i did use to play WSOP poker full screen game. Played for 1 to 2 hours and it consume about 15%

I see. Then lets say u go to sleep. Around 8 hours later after u wake up, how much batt drain from the phone?

Didn't really check on this but if i remember correctly it loss between 5-6%, i didn't turn on any battery saving mode. There is 4 modes available: performance, normal, power saving, super saving. My default for all the while is on normal mode.
