I think the only limitation is 3 transfer , I never know it is tied to single pc only. Not sure if they updated recently or actually you got wrong info? Attach my old email screenshot from support team.

I was only given 1 x serial number and have registered it into my laptop and successfully migrated the chats from android to ios but then when I shared my keys to other bros in this forum, they could not register it into their laptop/desktop anymore stating that the keys has been registered

Reaponse from backuptrans support team as below;
Sorry but you can use the software on one computer for 3 mobile devices.
And make sure you are using the correct Backuptrans software

yeah it strange , I sold 2 licence long time ago after I transfer to one device and they got no problem. Not sure if it is individual case or recently backup trans updated their policy? See if there are more case reported here means backup trans updated their policy , if not then maybe there is some bugs for the individual case.
